RecipeBox 2.0.3

Version: 2.0.3 060407
by: shadowwolf [More]

THIS MOD IS NO LONGER IN DEVELOPMENT OR BEING SUPPORTED

Im stopping further development and support on this addon at this moment. I simply dont have the time to continue working on it and there is now an addon developed by someone else which has succeeded this addon in many ways.

The new addon is called ProfessionsBook.

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/8423/

It is written in Ace2 and supports FuBar, has support for all professions, minimap button, searching, and also can link recipes (yellow chat links). I would encourage everyone who uses this addon to upgrade to this new addon which can be found on the WoWAce Dev for download here:

http://files.wowace.com/ProfessionsB...ssionsBook.zip

Thanks to everyone who supported this addon during its time in the sun.

==========================================================

This is an unofficial update to WL_RecipieBox to work with WoW 2.0. Seeing how the original author hasnt updated this addon since March of 2006, I thought I would try and get it working with 2.0 as I have come to depend on it greatly myself.

I am not proposing to take over the further development of this addon at this time, however I will do what I can to support its original functionality for 2.0 and BC within reason. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to pick up development of this addon.

This update is based off version 032806 created by Hackle

-----------------------------------------
Changes for 2.0.1 and 2.0.2

** YOU MUST DELETE YOUR OLD WL_RecipeBox.lua FILE **

You can find this file in the following location:

<drive letter:>\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<account name>\SavedVariables

Unfortunately due to 2.0.4+ patch changes, the saved variables files for WoW now conform to a different format and the old file will cause RecipeBox to error when displaying reagent data from old listings. You need to delete the old variables file and start again =(

-----------------------------------------

Original Description:
This addon will allow you to view recipes your other characters have, or a list "known" recipes which are displayed alphabetically.
This list is limited to ones my characters know atm, although as you add your recipes these new recipes will show up on your local installation of RB in the known section.

Allows you to shift-right click items to send entire recipe to edit box, if someone is asking you to make something and wants to know what materials to collect this can save some typing.

Additional commands:

  • /rbox help - Lists slash commands
  • /rbox deleteallyesyesyes - Deletes all lists of player recipes and locally stored recipes/reagents
  • /rbox realmlist - Lists all the realms you can access with realmname command
  • /rbrealm realmname - Changes the characters recipes your viewing to another realm if you have a horde and alliance server for example, must be correctly capitalized.
  • /rbcheck recipename or [recipename link] or [Recipe: recipename ] - Returns names of characters that have this recipe, must be correctly spaced. Be aware there is at least one recipe ingame that is incorrectly spaced Enchant Gloves -Greater Agility , it is shown same way on the formulae to learn it and tooltip if you have it in your enchanting menu
  • /rboffset <new offset> - to move the buttons to add recipes, for example /rboffset -70 will move the button 70 pixels down the screen.

Revision History:
2.0.3 060407
- Updated TOC for 2.1.0 patch

2.0.2b 032707
- Fixed Tailoring and Jewelcrafting German Localization (Thanks Crokk)

Re: dc'd when linking enchant from RecipeBox

Use the same toon but link an enchant to chat and WoW dc's.) I tested this with several toons (alchemist, blacksmith, leatherworker, etc.) and it only seems to be triggered when linking enchants by a non-enchanter toon.

Any suggestions to fix this? I am currently using version 2.0.2b of RecipeBox, along with the new WoW 2.1 patch.
Yes they changed how all profession craftables are linked. Its going to take me some time to figure out how to incorporate that new change into Recipebox but I will try to find a workaround or fix for the Enchants as soon as I can.

Ah, sorry about that, heh, I dont speak German so the localization was what was previously existing and what I could get from Babelfish, lol. Ill make the change and re-up shortly. Sorry for the delay in reply. Thank you for posting your fix.

i got an error
- deleted lua file
- fresh install
- german wow client

i opened tradeskill window - Tailoring (Schneiderei) - start scan
WL_RecipeBox.lua:1117: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

i had no problems with other Tradeskills yet.

EDIT: same with jewelcrafting, cannot break the scan - had to relogin

EDIT2: no Problems with Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Cooking or First Aid

You rock Shadowwolf

Didn't figure anyone would keep updating this when BC killed it. Thanks.

Issue with new link ID's for 2.0

Ive run across an issue with the new item ID's Blizz is now using for items due to sockets and such. Adding any new recipes seems to throw an error if you try to view it in the list and using the shift-rightclick feature to list out items results in a disconnect.

As soon as I can work this out ill post an update.
