Thumbs up Personal resource display bar?

Very good job. Practical and simple. Would be curious to see how the Personal Resources Bars look like, any chance you can upload a screenshot with it active ?

I wish to change the default personal resources textures the same way Santa Textures do it for player/target frames, i.e. Creating a folder such as "\Interface\TargetingFrame" and put the right .blp in it, to avoid using code and more addons.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Personal resource display bar?

Hi Eat!

Right now I'm doing the last changes for the pre-patch going up tomorrow (probably gonna upload the update version 1h later after servers go up, as I need to do some tests).

I'm doing the possible changes I can do in the interface to look a bit more dark (some parts idk why, don't work the way I want, but are minor things, not so important right now).

I'm having some problems with the personal resource bar, so for now you have to use the blizzard default or use AddOns like KuiNameplates to have a more cool looking bar (for me is one of the bests for nameplates, and its lightweight too, also check if they updated to the pre-patch).

Gonna work on it later, for some reason is very buggy and I don't want to make the AddOn feel "heavy" or mess-up. What I want is to make the borders dark and put some class colors on it, like I said is very buggy. x.x

You probably can change and create the .bpl files and try if it works the way you want. Wait until tomorrow, so you can have the full Interface to work on it.

Thank you for use my AddOn, and I'm happy you like it.

scaling

Is there any way to change the scaling of the unit frames? look in one of the .lua under abyssui addons and was not able to find. kinda blind so i need the to be able to scale the frame out so i can see, and i dont want to have to use another addon to scale it. so if there a way plz let me know or if theres a way for you to add it in, that would be great. but so far great addon small, simple, dosent take to much to run. would like to use if i/we can fix the scaling issue

Re: scaling

Hello snuglebug,

You can scale all the interface in the wow options (need to be online), "System -> Advanced -> UI Scale", there you can mark the box to make changes in the UI, "high" means bigger, "low" make it small.

Hope you like my UI, and tomorrow I will update for the BFA launch. =)

If you need more help, just come here (sometimes I take more than 1 day to answer, but I will)

This is great! I added it to the addons I'm using and pretty much everything is working great. My only problem was not having it play nice with EasyFrames. I don't know if there is anyway to make them work together, or if you can add different options for player/target frames. Either way, this is great thanks for sharing it.

Also, could you please explain how to disable flat texture and the flat class icons?

Hello! Pomphrey,
go to the wow AddOns folder then open the AbyssUI folder, rename AbyssUI.lua to AbyssUI_old.lua, and make another AbyssUI.lua file (empty).

I sent you a message with the code you need to put in the file you created, it should work (did not test, send me a message if something went wrong)

Thank you, I'm glad you like it =)

This is an amazing UI. I've been looking for a UI that keeps the flavor of the default UI but with tweaks to it to make it a little more minimal and visually appealing.

There is one thing I'd like to add to it so that it would be perfect for me and that's removing the Menu and Bag bars completely. How can I do this?

Hi Giggzy,

I'm glad you like my UI.

To make that part hide, just put this lines of code in the AbyssUI.lua file (you will need to do this every update, I'm working in making a options frame in the Blizzard UI Interface, but that will take a time).

Lua Code:
  1. local f = CreateFrame("Frame")
  2. f:RegisterEvent("ADDON_LOADED")
  3. f:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self, event, name)
  4.     if event == "ADDON_LOADED" then
  5.         for i, v in pairs({ MicroButtonAndBagsBar.MicroBagBar,
  6.             MicroButtonAndBagsBar, MainMenuBarPerformanceBar, MainMenuMicroButton,
  7.             EJMicroButton, CollectionsMicroButton, LFDMicroButton,
  8.             GuildMicroButtonTabard, GuildMicroButton, QuestLogMicroButton,
  9.             TalentMicroButton, SpellbookMicroButton,    CharacterMicroButton, StoreMicroButton, }) do
  10.             v:Hide()
  11.             AchievementMicroButton:SetAlpha(0) -- 1 when you want to show
  12.             StoreMicroButton:SetAlpha(0) -- 1 when you want to show
  13.         end
  14.     end
  15. end)

I suggest you to put this code close to the end, before "Save and Extra Stuff".

Message-me if something went wrong.

Change to "0", and see if it work, in case it not work, change it back to "1". Also check if any addon could be messing if it (bartender do some changes).

if the above doesn't work, try this (probably will work and is the correct way to do this):

/console ActionButtonUseKeyDown 1
