I believe I found a limitation of the debuff tracking feature.

As a shadow priest, I often find myself multi-dotting a pack of mobs. When I cast a dot that has a cast time, i.e. Vampiric Touch, I will cast it on my current target and then I will tab switch to another target before the cast finishes in order to prepare for my next cast.

What happens is that the debuff will not appear on the first dotted mob since I am no longer targeting it.

Another issue concerns the Devouring Plague dot. Only one DP can exist per priest that casts it. When I cast DP on a mob, the debuff will appear on the nameplate just fine. However, when I then cast it on another mob, the old DP timer remains on the first mob's nameplate even when DP is no longer on the first mob, presumably because I'm not targeting that mob any more.

Yeah, I forgot a check for that function. The next release takes a few days, since I'm adding something very new and unique.
After that I'm planning to make the nameplates one single addon.

When I installed this addon, it got UI errors everytime I loaded in game, and it changed my font sizes in other addons plus it changed the size of my chat frame.

Even after I uninstalled this addon I had to fix all the settings it screwed up. There is obviously something very wrong with the way this is designed.

It changed options for my MSBT and OmniCC addons and god knows what else. I noticed that all the non-DK triggers in MSBT were deleted. Considering the addon author plays a DK, it's probably copying over all his settings.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS ADDON.

I'm testing a single folder nameplate addon right now in ICC 25 heroic.

Edit: And a beta version is out now!

I really like the look and function of these, but I am having one problem.

There is a blue(ish) long bar underneath the names of friendly units every time I log in and it changes back to that behavior periodically, even after I disable name plates for friendly units in the game interface. Am I doing something wrong or is there no way to keep name plates from popping on for friendlies.

Also, it would be nice if there was a separate font config for the names of friendly units and one for hostile. I play with my resolution pulled way down and I would like to make the friendly names bigger while not affecting the size of the hostile names.

This happens if you use Skinner.
/Skinner -> UIFrames -> Disable Nameplates -> /rl
fixes this bug.

That should be possible, after I've finished the important stuff.

Worked like a charm.

Also Doc, the frames are working great in ICC 25. I like em.

Holy sh...t

Your frames are basically all i ever wished for. The feature to show Buffs/Debuffs on the nameplates is "OVER THE FCKING TOP" useful in Arena/PvP.

There are just two things to make em perfect:

- showing/hiding of totems (like tide plates: clean plates)
Its very useful as a fear class for arena-pvp. And as a Priest i often try to find my party-shamans certain totems in 25s. Its a great feature.
- sizing of certain debuffs on the plates
