Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs
Go here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...o.php?id=12524

Version 3.1.25

+ Spells tab works again
+ Added option in the spells tab to show/not show buffs by spellID
+ Added options in the global tab to show default buff frame and default enchant frame
+ SBFOptions will now make the background for names visible when configuring to help you not overlap the icons when positioning (which can cause clicks on icons to not register)

Version 3.1.24
- Sadly, clicking off of buffs is not fated to be at this time. Disabled for now

Version 3.1.23
+ Fix an error when tracking is enabled

Version 3.1.22
+ Added "id" filter for spell ID numbers
+ You should now be able to click off player buffs
+ Fixed problems with the colour picker
+ You can now remove/edit filters

- When you rename a buff frame, the old name will still appear in ButtonFacade's list until you reload UI or restart

Version 3.1.21
- Update for WoW 4.0
- The scale slider has finally been removed. Use the individual sizing mechanisms on the tabs, and set spacing between buffs on the layout tab
- Some performance tweaks courtesy of Yarlir@Area52

Version 3.1.20
- Fix an error for new users introduced by 3.1.19

Version 3.1.19

- Buff timers and bars should refresh correctly when first appearing in frames

Version 3.1.14

* When SBF can determine the caster of an effect, it will put the name in the effect's tooltip
* The list on the Spells tab should populate correctly now
* The tt filter should function correctly now

* Fix errors when creating/removing frames

Version 3.1.10
* Fix that error with temporary enchantments

Version 3.1.9
* Fixed an error when checking castable status (SBFUtil line 86)

Version 3.1.8
* Fixed an error where size limited frames get the wrong buffs
* Some small fixes for ButtonFacade. Some skins will still not get border colours. I've sent a message to StormFX to see if there's something I am missing or if it's just an inconsistency with some BF skins
* Added the ability for users to add custom sounds for expiry warnings. See SatrinaBuffFrame/Media/SBFSounds.lua for directions
* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

Version 3.1.7
3.1.7 is version bookkeeping to keep in sync with a massive fubar I had at Curse

Version 3.1.6
* Bars should no longer jump directly from 00:01 to 00:00
* Buff flows will no longer reset when you re-enter the options after setting them up

* You can now reset the profile for the current character by using /sbf reset

Version 3.1.5
* TOC version has been updated for WoW 3.1
* SBF will no longer allow you to try and flow buffs for different units. (There's no way to make that work without a major code revamp)
* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.
* SBF and SBFOptions now has an actual licence besides All Rights Reserved. Check out licence.txt in the zipfile, or read online: http://evilempireguild.org/SBF/licence.php

* Shaman weapon imbues should not get moved into frames using the to filter any more
* Cooldown sweeps should not flicker in combat now
* Cooldown sweeps should not occasionally cause an error

Version 3.1.1
* Because it wouldn't be an SBF release without me forgetting something ridiculous, SBF will no longer say "hi" to you when you click on a buff
* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

Version 3.1.0
* Filters now work completely for any unit

Recent Issues

For those of you experiencing issues with any buff groups that have the option to show the buff name enabled, you need to install Ace3 as a separate addon (At least until this starts getting updated again)

This issue is being caused by SBF overriding an Ace3 function with one of its own functions. If you have an addon installed that embeds of a higher version of Ace3 libraries than those included with SBF, and that addon loads after SBF (usually addons load alphabetically), the library upgrades itself and overrides the flawed SBF function with the Ace3 function that is supposed to be there.

Pull up your SBF configuration (/sbf config) and keep it open.

Open ButtonFacade (/bf), click on addons, then select SBF and change the skin from Blizzard to whatever skin you're trying to use.

BF won't skin the frames that aren't showing. So if you don't have a debuff (or the test bars from the config open), it's not skinning that frame.

AF is definitely the closest thing I've found to SBF. Its configuration can be a bit annoying (I hate the blue highlight used to show the frames when they're unlocked), but the functionality (super amazing filtering system) is certainly there. Overall I love it and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an SBF replacement.

Still using SBF here as there isn't a single addon around wich works the same way as SBF.

I tried Raven but even with is zillion options it's missing the ONE important one wich is not being able to limit the amount of Buffs or Debuffs you want to be shown, it simply has a built in limit of 50 unlike SBF.

Atm i wanna stick with SBF but i'm sure sooner or later it's gonna be broken once and for all. All i need is an addon wich does the same wich is:

3 Rows of 8 Buffs
1 Row of Debuffs (Oversized iconsize 60)

I removed this massage for my UI - just download the UI (LeilaUI Version: v3.13) and take out my SBF folders http://www.wowinterface.com/download...LeilaUIv3.html

also you shoud be able to klick off buffs from non filterd bargroups

v3.2.3 login message

Great addon! Even though I can't click off buffs, I am still sporting this great addon like a champ

My only main concern right now is the 6-8 line "greeting" whenever I log in.

SBF: SBF v3.2.3
SBF: This version of SBF is beta testing the new way of clicking off buffs
SBF: When you set a frame as interactive, several configuration options will be unavailable for that frame
SBF: Most notably, filtering, visibility, flowing, and sorting
SBF: Known issue: names do not show in interactive frames
SBF: Thanks for using SBF!
This is a message I've been seeing for over 6 months now. I've tried digging through all of the files in the addon to try to pinpoint what code generates that message, but I've had no luck. Anyone have any tips on how I can get that message to go away? At this point, it genuinely feels like log-in spam :<

I was looking for a replacement for this today and came across Raven. While the initial setup can seem a bit daunting after using SBF for so long I seem to have been able to replicate almost the exact layout I had in SBF. The only thing I can't seem to do is get the bars to span 2 columns after it hits x rows but that I can live without for now I guess.
It is also less buggy than the latest SBF and also supports right clicking buffs off on sorted bars (outside of combat) and creating a special bar that can be set up to allow specific buffs to be cancelled by right clicking in combat.

Do you run vista/Win7 and have WoW installed in %ProgramFiles% by chance?

I was using SBF without issue until raid a few nights ago when I reloaded my UI. After that, SBF was locking up my WoW. It's the only addon that will lock up my UI on loading or reloading my screen. I've had to disable it in order to play. This only occurs on my priest, though; none of my other toons have this issue.

I finally gave up, uninstalled and reinstalled. After clearing the old profiles and starting fresh, I can now load SBF on my priest, but now I get the following LUA errors while trying to set up a new profile or edit my bars:

I really love this addon and rely upon it heavily. I also know the author is in the middle of handing it to someone else, but would anybody have any clue as to why this is happening with my SBF? Very frustrating to have a custom made UI and one big element going haywire.

ETA: I just had to make do with the default character-specific profile name to avoid the LUA errors, rather that create my own. That seems to have fixed the problem.
