Cellular  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.0.001
by: totalpackage, drjebus, Sugarwing

Cellular is an instant messenger mod (for only whispers) based on the functionality of an old version of ForgottenChat.

YouTube Intro

Features:

  • Many appearance options
  • History log
  • A way to copy text
  • Reuse of the default chat editbox
  • Whispers shown in separate windows or a tab-based single window
  • Should work with most spam filter mods
  • ...and other basic IM features
  • !! New !! Language support for enUS / enGB and deDE

How to Use:
  • "/cellular", check Interface Options->AddOns, or right-click a window for options
  • Left-click a window to toggle the editbox
  • Left-click a tab to activate it
  • Shift-left-click and drag a window to move
  • Shift-left-click and drag bottom-right corner to resize
  • Right-click a tab for show/close/options dropdown
  • Middle-click a tab to close
  • Hold ctrl and close any window/tab to quick remove from history
  • Several convenient buttons (some require shift clicking for confirmation reasons)

Warnings:
  • If you have history enabled and notice that Cellular is using a lot of memory, you should cleanup your history entries using Cellular's history options.
  • If you're experiencing crashing due to memory errors, disable and clear your history.
  • If you cherish your history, you can back up the saved variables file and then delete it. You can view it in any text editor later. The location of the saved variables file is here:
    ...\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Server Name>\<Character Name>\SavedVariables\Cellular.lua

Is it possible to add a report feature? I LOVE this addon & have been using it for over 5 years now but the one thing I'd change about it would be a report button. Over the years I've had players message me that I need to report & Blizz complains to "right click to report" which I can't using Cellular & I do not want to stop using it. LOL

Yes, I love this and dislike Prat, so if you can, please have it work for BfA!

Clicking in whisper window issues

Clicking into the window of the whisper doesn't open the chat bar with the correct whisper anymore. It stays on say (and stays at the location that chatter set).
This wasn't the case before (been using the same addons/setup since WotLK).

Would love for this to be fixed as well. This bug makes the addon practically unusable.

Sorry all. I did take a look at it and couldn't replicate the problem. I am using PTR. Maybe it's a bug with the release that's fixed on PTR

Ok so the problem is, when you press R if the pm comes from an ingame same realm char the addon captures the reply function and opens type in a reply fashion, if a pm is done from battle.net and not from an in game character the r function just turns to say instead and ofc you type something goes into say, same thing ofc happens when you click the chat window, if the PM is from an ingame character same realm it captures the click and it opens the reply if its battle.net it turns into a say THE ONLY WAY it will turn into reply is if you literally point on the name of the guy you got the pm from like [PlayerName] if you click anywhere else in window it turns into say.

I hope this made some sense will be happy provide any other feedback needed to fix this :P been using cellular since released i legit cant work without, on my shame tried wim but that thing made me wanna cry.

Thanks for your support.

"edit"

OK so if you get a battle.net pm and instead of R you press Enter it will start a reply function which is weird since enter always started a /say

"edit 2"

OK the above is not complete correct, the enter does indeed start reply function as tries to reply but it tries to send it in reply as if the guy was in your server same realm which ofc ends up in a No player named "PlayerName(which is bnet tag name)" is currently playing.
