BattleCry is a set-up and leave mod that can be used for a variety of purposes. Its basic functionality is quite simple: Whenever an action is performed or an event takes place, it will automatically execute one of any number of "cries" that you have previously set up. These cries can be output to any of the standard grouping channels (say, yell, group, raid) as well as emoted.

Special thanks to Tarog and his creation of the mod WarCry, which inspired me to undertake this project.

BattleCry has two main components: BattleCry_Core: The guts of the addon. This will execute cries based on the rules you've set up for them. BattleCry_Editor: The editor used for setting up those rules.

This was updated to work with 3.02. Please leave comments if the mod doesn't do what it's supposed to.

except, stupid folks....like myself, have a hard time figuring speakinspell out... I read on how to use it... and it fails right off.... where as Battlecry, at least, you didn't need to go thigh deep into instructions to make one.

WE NEED AN UPDATE TO BATTLECRY.....LIKE HARDCORE... TO JUST WORK IN 4.0.1.... AND THEN CATA... MY FD MACROS DEPEND ON IT!

Its really nice to have for some extra Charisma to tedious things, Such as skinning and a few combat spells. Much better than an annoying macro proccing 100% of the time. ANYWAY - I say Idea because I downloaded 3.0 from the Website and followed the basic guide etc for getting started. The Add-on itself is marked "Outdated" when I check it on the WoW inteface, and I cannot seem to pull it up... I.E it says "Type /bc to open GUI interface" well I type that and It doesn't work, it gives me the Generic WoW message "Type /help for help...etc" Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this? you can post it here, but I would Prefer an E-mail to [email protected] - Much appreciation, and when the Addon works Im sure I will love it !

Now it's time for a rant (not really, but let's pretend): I seem to have a problem with $nm variable. It considers the current target instead of the spell's target. Maybe other variables are messed up too, but I seem to be using $nm in every second cry, and this hurts he functionality of the mod so much, for me. What I'm talking about is when you're targetting an enemy and a healing cry proccs something like "Don't worry, Illidan, I'll heal you!"

Sorry all for the lateness in responding and in fixing things, been busy leveling and doing heroics and stuff.

One that does not seem to work is Slay Hostile the cry I made for it does not trigger when I kill a mob. Also now that warlock mounts how been moved from the Demo spell tree to a actual pet it does not show up to make a cry for it when you summon a Fel or Dreadsteed. is there a work around for this.

All the actions are taken from your spellbook so if it's not there, it's currently not added. I'll have to take a look and see if there's a workaround, if not, that might necessitate a reworking at a later date to include the new Pets tab.

I love that this is back up. Searched for days until i found it the first time and it so perfectly fit my needs i almost cried when it quit working. Kudos to yalls for bringing it back. The only issue I have found so far is that i cant find an on/off switch for it so I don't drive my party members nuts. Thanks yet again!!

Hmm, an on/off toggle might be a good idea, but yeah, the best you can do now is adjust your frequency % a bit so you won't spam your cries as much.

About the localization, I made the one that is actualy used, but there's a problem with a lot of special caracters (é à ê and the like). Could it be possible to change the file format so that it could correctly display these ?

I had two years of French in HS and that's a long ways behind me, but if you have the time, you can check the lua files under the Locale folder and send me any changes or post them here and I'll incorporate them into the next release. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

This Addon has a problem for me : the CD is not taken in consideration so it spams the emotes :s
For info, I'm in French client. If you need me to translate things for the localisation don't hesitate !

No, it doesn't take the CD into consideration. Your only options is to adjust the frequency % and/or set your cry condition to activate on completion rather than when it starts or during.

Really appreciate everyone taking the time to post feedback. Makes finding and fixing things a bit easier. I'll try to work on them as soon as I can.
