LumUi - Fan update

This is a Fan update of LumUI originaly designed and created by neverg and uploaded with his permission

Neverg is no longer playing the game, and therefore is no longer updating his ui compilation.

Here is the original ui: Lumui
(check for information about the compilation)


Installation guide:
1. Backup your Fonts folder (if you have it), Interface and WTF folder.
2. Unzip the archive into the World of Warcraft root folder. Not the addon folder but the world of warcraft root folder. This is because inside the archive you will find a Fonts folder and an Interface folder.
3. That's it, there is no WTF because it's not needed by any addon needing configuration (at least important ones).
4. Refer to the individual addons if you need help configuring them. Most of the addons in this pack are configured through Lua editing so they might not be fitted for some users.
5. This UI works out of the package. You might only need to move some elements of the frames around. Go to oUF_lumen config file (cfg.lua) to see the available options. If you want to turn off the Class colored border edit the lumDrops.lua file. Should be self explanatory how to do it.

  • oUF_Experience - Optional. Displays a Experience Bar if char is below max level on oUF_lumen.
  • oUF_AuraWatch - Optional. Displays icon Debuffs in Party/Raid.
  • oUF_lumen - The main component of this UI. Includes frames, party/raid frames, Buff Timers (à la ClassTimers), Castbar...
  • oUF_Reputation - Reputation bar support for oUF.
  • oUF_Smooth - Optional. Smooths oUF Health update.
  • oUF_SpellRange - Optional. Makes frames fade when target is out of range.
  • rActionBarStyler - The minimalist action bars from zork.
  • rActionButtonStyler - The button styler of rActionBarStyler.
  • rBuffFrameStyler - The bufframe styler
  • teksLoot - Smaller, simpler, prettier loot frame... /teksloot
  • tullaCC - Simplified cooldown numbers.

As a fan myself i decided to update the pack to the new patch 4.2
Main Changes made by me
  • No more key ring button. Keyrings are gone this patch.
  • The menu bar (micro menu bar) is now located on the top left of the screen
  • Added a safe zone on the cast bar
  • The boss frames now show the boss hp percentage
  • Party/raid frames now have an highlighted debuff


I will do my best to keep the compilation updated.

I think the text is to small, not on the unitframes and not when I hover and item. The text in friend, guild and character tab, how can I change the font size ?

Greatings once again.
My lvl 5 shaman is stuck on the starting area for like 3 months, i never played with him again.

I do, however, think the shaman totems bar are configured by the rActionbarstyler addon. Open the config of this addon and find the totembar options.

I'll give a look alter today to confirm.

I have returned with another question! ><

I logged onto a much neglected shaman only to discover that my totem bar is hidden by my party frame. I don't want to move my party frame but I'd like the totem bar up where the pally holy power is and am just wondering how I can do that. I have stared at the code and am getting no where.

4.3 ptr

Hey all
Just like to inform that I've been playing a bit on the ptr, and so far the compilation is holding ok.
Getting some lua errors with the action bar addon, but not game breaking (they still work)

Was a bit worried about the new search functionality but its working fine.

Tl;DR compilation is working fine on 4.3 so far

Those are the player debufs

The target debuffs are around line 1182.
Thres a function (function createDebuffs there that handles the debuffs.
The buffs function for the target is also nearby (a bit above)


And there seems to be kind of a white- or blacklist for debuffs shown on my focus frame. Where would I find that? I would like to add CCs and remove normal debuffs.

I can do all of this on my own, I just need the line. :/

Hum the ui should be configured to show your own debuffs on the focus frame.
Anyway on the cfg.lua file look for cfg.focus_debuffs_filter and change it to false to show all debuffs.

I'd like to move the buffs/debuffs of the player/target frame. I'd just need the line where to change the values.

I didn't quite understood where you want the player percent to appear

But im gona tell you how to do it and you can try it yourself and find the position for the percent you like.

Since you saying your "not that into coding" im gona give you the full tour.

1.Go to the oUF_Lumen folder and locate the oUF_lumen.lua file

2.Open this file with any text editor (like notepad or something)

3a.Locate the following code part near line 2316:

createPercentString(self, font, cfg.fontsize+3, Outline, 6, 1, "RIGHT", "LEFT")
This is the player percent text

3b.Locate the following code part near line 2374:

createPercentString(self, font, cfg.fontsize+3, Outline, -6, 1, "LEFT", "RIGHT")
This is the target percent text

Tip. To help you locate yourself, check a bit above, you should see something like:

player= function(self, ...)
Wich means you are "playing" with the player percent string.

4. You only need to "play" with the last 4 values, in the player example its 6, 1, "RIGHT" and "LEFT"

To simplify it, change both "RIGHT" and "LEFT" to "CENTER" (Dont forget the "")
Now the first value (6 in the player case) is the horizontal position, wich means, if you wanna move the text to the right you need to increase that value, if you wanna move it to the left give it a negative value (like -10).

The second number (1 in the player case) is the vertical position, wich means, if you wanna move the text up you need to increase that value, if you wanna move it down, give it a negative value (like -10).

5. After making the change you want, SAVE THE FILE, and go to the game.
If the game is already open you need to reload the interface by typing:

/reload ui
on the chat.

6. The percent is not on the correct spot? Go back to editing file, (you do not need to close the game, just minimize it) and "play" a bit more with the horizontal and verical values untill you find the correct ones.

Tip, remeber the percent only appears when your are below 100% life.

Problem solved

Hey,

I installed it again after deleting everything in touch with oUF somehow and now it works. I have no idea why, but it does.

So, thanks for your help and I'm glad that deleting the WTF folder wasn't even necessary. I'm outta here. (:

edit: IMPORTANT - I remebered wrong. >.< The addon is still not loading - I deleted the WTF folder, but still the normal unitframes show up. :/

edit2: ALSO IMPORTANT - I turned off one addon (a warlock specific one, I thought I had it already turned off once, but well - I didn't) and it worked.
So all the work for me/you/everyone just because I remebered wrong that I already tested the unitframes without that addon (it's "SoulBurned" by the way, probably it's in conflict with the oUF soulshards).

Ok I'm sure you're sick of me now - or I should just learn this stuff myself... lol

I want to get the unit type to show up on elites/rares/elite rares just for having everything the same. I added the "ut" to the end of the lines for those types like in the other one and it has not included the unit type on those. I'm just wondering what I've missed.
