Birg's Hunter UI - BfA Fanmade

Version: 1.0
by: YuuMeliodas [More]

This has been uploaded with permission from Birg.

This is a minimal Hunter UI
ready for BfA and made to fit Birg's new Monk UI style.
Please be aware that I am not as good with Weakauras yet as Birg!

WeakAura Strings only

Installation

Since it has been asked for I made a Step-by-Step guide for installing this UI: Installation document

if you find any problems send me a message and I will try to fix it

copied from Birg Monk UI
Notes:
  • Do not download this if you expect easy configuration or maintenance. Shared for inspiration. Always have a backup of your current WTF and Interface folders.
  • Actionbars are hidden with Dominos. They can be shown by mouseover at the bottom right of the screen, or type /dominos to configure.
  • Make sure "Personal Health and Mana Bars" is checked in /plater.
  • Use this macro the first time you log in to make sure your Personal Nameplate is activated (Personal Ressource Display needs to be activated as well in the Interface options with no Addons activated):
Code:
/run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfAlpha", 0)
/run SetCVar ("nameplateOtherTopInset", 0.08)
/run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfTopInset", 0.5)
/run SetCVar ("nameplateSelectedScale", 1)
/run SetCVar ("nameplatePersonalShowAlways", 1)

Important:
  • I recommend you update the addons yourself, so you don't have to remake your keybinds or other configurations each time you update this UI.
  • Set Particle Density to Ultra to get the highest quality auras.
  • Do not update BigWigs through the Twitch App or the configurations will be reset. Download from their page and copy everything except BigWigs Plugin.

DRUID UI USERS: If you want to add this UI if you already have the druid UI you should install this one and get the Weakaura strings
from the page above since I updated the other addons quite a lot.

Yeah, I have the basics for most classes done (except warrior) and the Shaman UI is about 33% done. I'm moving to a new place right now so you might have to sit tight a bit longer!
any updates on the shaman ui?

thanks for the reply.
the font issue was actually not fixed by removing the font file. the only way i could change the font was bu changing the font settings in TipTac.
Also, my only other issue is bigwigs not showing the abilities with names and just a bar.

Sorry for the slow replies, still moving into a new flat.
The white square can be found in Weakauras in the Global string. It's the Minimap background.
I added an artifact/rep/exp bar in the most recent build of the Global weakaura, I will update it tonight when I moved my PC.
You can use your own font if you do not like this one, either delete the Font folder in your WoW folder to revert to the default font or use this guide by Nefarion to change to a font that you enjoy:

Code:
You can actually do this without using addons, yes.
And it's pretty simple;
  • Find a font you like, ending in ".ttf".
  • Go to your World of Warcraft folder, and create a folder named "Fonts" in it.
  • Place four copies of the font you want to use in that folder, and name them (caps and all): ARIALN.ttf FRIZQT__.ttf (two underscores) MORPHEUS.ttf skurri.ttf
  • Exit WoW entirely, and re-open it.
This method 'blanket' changes fonts. All the fonts on the default UI will be changed at once, and most addons will be changed too. I'm actually not sure of a way, even through addons, to change single fonts. It's possible, yes, but I don't think there are any addons that do it, because it's pretty hard to implement an end-user configuration for that sort of thing.

I did a little digging. The Lua Error from SimplePowerBar Can Be fixed.

UNIT_POWER got renamed to UNIT_POWER_UPDATE. I added _UPDATE to all occurrences in Core.lua. Now, there's no errors on login.

Now we gotta figure out what's breaking WeakAuras

Sadly I don't know yet how to get rid of them but I posted a work-around in the installation manual:

NOTE: You will probably get some Lua errors now and then (I can’t fix this sadly). If they annoy you too much consider getting an addon that hides Lua frames or disable them in the Interface options. You can also remove them by typing

/console scriptErrors 0

in the chatbox. This will disable Lua frames as if you used the Interface option.

anyway looking forward to the shammy one i do have a ? though when you make these uis do you make them for the whole class itself or just a spec? reason i ask is i play shammy but thinking of rolling ele as an off spec
Yeah, hope I can get it done smoothly!

Usually when I start making a UI for a new character I make the base UI and icons first (the main circle) with the right colors. Then I start working through the class by choosing a specc and working throught it, one by one. For shaman I started with Resto, then Ele and at last I will work on Enha. The animations often take the longest.
o ok cool and i meant to say enhance is what i play haha all good man and thank you was just wondering if it have all specs.
