sRaidFrames  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 78742
by: Saroz [More]

sRaidFrames was designed to replace the raid frames provided by CT_RaidAssist.

They share the same look and feel of the original frames, but are highly optimised and even include extra features such as aggro highlighting and display of PVE critical abilities.

It looks like the SRF page at Curse was hit in an attack and has been returned to a new URL here.

Ready Checks

Is there anyway to get ready check status in the frames? Can't find a method for it.

Groups

I do most of my raiding as a healer and somehow only have 4 groups instead of 5 for 25 man raids. I have looked around in the options and cant seem to find how to show the rest of the groups. Any ideas?

I like this addon.

Is it possible to show the raid bars in 5 man instances?

If some dev could put that on the svn:

in sRaidFrameOptions.lua, around line 905
Code:
function sRaidFrames:chatSetPosition(layout)
	self:PositionLayout(layout, self.groupframes[1]:GetLeft(), self.groupframes[1]:GetTop()-UIParent:GetEffectiveScale()/self.master:GetEffectiveScale()*UIParent:GetTop())
end
instead of

Code:
function sRaidFrames:chatSetPosition(layout)
	self:PositionLayout(layout, self.groupframes[1]:GetLeft(), self.groupframes[1]:GetTop()-UIParent:GetTop())
end
For some reason, self.master doesn't return a GetTop even if it has an effective scale. The group frames inherit master, so the scale is incorrect (for master scale of less than one, the group frames will go up whenever you use a predifined position).

I really like how this mod works as it truly does free up memory and help the frame rates a bit, but the thing i hate about is just the looks. atm im using a modified version of ag_unitframes.

I'd like to switch to sraidframes, but to me the ui is made up of 2 key ingredients: efficiency (running smoothly and using low amounts or resources) and looks (clean lines, spacious (loads of room to put things on and still have loads left)

alot of mods have problems with one or the other at some point, for ag_unitframes its efficiency and for sraidframes its looks.

the ag_uf (as it is often called) i use is modified by some of the mods for the mods (linked if you look below ag_uf dedicated download spot on this very site!) so it looks right and i wish there where some similar ones for sraidframes

another important thing about sraidframes is that there is ALOT of settings in comparison to ag_uf which i feel is a drawback. more settings might mean more customization, but to a newbie to the mod it means more settings = more trouble+time
You can get pretty far on the basic settings but if you can get far enough on those (and you can do raids with them) then do you really need the other settings?

I installed the addon, but I can't get the frames to show, the minimap icon is there, but either i'm missing somthingor this just doesn't work for me. Any ideas? Ive turned off ct_raid and most of my other addons, i've pulled out the blizz raid frames, thinking it just modifies those, still nothing. I press "o" thinking there may be a tab for them like the ct_raid has, but there isnt.

....Never mind, they are showing now, I think it was the scaleing moving them off screen...in case anyone else has this issue. Great addon btw, it was exactly what I was looking for, i'm glad I got it working.

This mod can look amazingly slick if you shut the borders off and resize things a bit,

http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/7...dframesif7.png

I'd like to see a SS of this kind of setup on the main page here. The CTRA look is fine for people who want that kind of look, but sRaidFrames is capable of being very slick and compact too, and that capability deserves attention. IMNSO, it's the best-looking set of raid frames available.

BTW, this version here hasn't been updated since March and I don't know how well it works, but I update mine off wowace and it works great.

Is this possible? I'd give my left nut for this.. Maybe even the right one.

sRaidFrames does rock, I dropped CTRaidAssist once I found sRaid.

But after upgrading to Before the Storm(2.0.11), I encounter the following error messages when I join a raid:

Interface\AddOns\sRaidFrames\sRaidFrames.lua:1091:attempt to index field 'master' (a nil value)

or

Interface\AddOns\sRaidFrames\sRaidFrames.lua:528:bar argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil

Wondering if any1 can advise what goes wrong? Thx in advance

This is a really great addon. The only thing missing that I would like to see is an option to hide people who are offline. Maybe there is an option and Im missing it, but if not, it would be a nice improvement.
