Broker_WorldQuests

A data broker plugin that shows world quests in list form, so you can quickly find the ones that are worth doing.

This addon does nothing on its own! You NEED to have a data broker addon like ChocolateBar installed!

Highly recommend using it together with Better World Quests.

Features

Shows World Quests when hovering over the data broker block
Swap between expansions via the buttons in the top-right corner
Right-click the data broker block or click the cog icon to access the filter/settings menu
Filter quests by reward, type, faction, active bounty and more
Sort by quest reward or time left
Clicking a quest opens the world map for the specific zone that the quest is located in and highlights it
For TomTom users: clicking a quest can also add a waypoint (cleared on arrival or logout)
Shift-clicking a quest will track it in the sidebar
New quests will have an indicator in the list (for 15 minutes or until relog/reload)
Bounty display and indicator on quests that count towards active bounties
Paragon reputation bars

Missing quests for the following achievements are highlighted with the quest title in green:

Fishing 'Round the Isles (Legion Fishing)
Battle on the Broken Isles (Legion Pet Battle)
Battle on Zandalar and Kul Tiras (BFA Pet Battle)

If you want to take the time it may be helpful to report this to funkydude, perhaps along with your SavedVariables file if you have kept it. Sounds like a bug to me.

Other than that, great that it's working now.

I switched to fetching quests via the Broken Isles map (as most others do as well) instead of each zone individually but this seems to not include Dalaran quests, I'll add Dalaran back to the fetching for next version.

It would be nice to be able to click "Faction" and then "Time Remaining" and have it sort like it would in Windows Explorer if you did "file type" then "date". You'd get huge bonus points if you could have a suggested order with flight points to take for least travel time. Probably just a programing challenge for when you're bored though. ;-)

A couple update ideas/suggestions. I have 5 or 6 add ons now it seems that could easily be combined into one. The others are pretty one function so perhaps some suggestions for yours.

The LDB text for yours displays nothing useful (just the addon name). I have another that shows my "Current Weapon AP (1,000/3,000), AP From Bags Items: 1,000)" etc. so some options to display something like that, or related to quest reward totals (total AP available from all quests etc.) useful would be great.

Another I love is Flight Map Enhanced that lets you control-click the world map near a world quest icon. It then sets it so that the next time you talk to a flight master you automatically fly to the nearest place you right clicked. If you could incorporate it so perhaps if we right click a list from your add on Map list, or LDB menu that it performs the same flight queue option.

Lastly, the filters on yours are great for the list, but they still display the icons on the world map for quests I'm not interested in. Not a huge deal but they look similar enough to normal non-world quest icons that it's a little annoying. Another add on (which is terribly clumsy) does offer a nice icon replacement on t he world map for icons related to world quests (gold for gold, AP for AP etc.). There icons are quite annoying, but I like the idea. Either icons by reward, or faction perhaps.

I'll keep it in mind, if I have some spare time I look if it's possible to somehow use FME from another addon. I'll probably won't recreate the whole thing but we'll see.

Haven't looked into replacing the default quest markers. Also you would need some pretty decent image assets that stand out or they'll get lost in the busy world map and I'm not the best when it comes to creating graphics and stuff

Changed in r15, unfortunately it's not possible to fetch the reputation rewarded by world quests because you need to have a quest in the quest log for it to return proper values, so it will still not be 100% accurate since not all quests in a zone reward faction iirc. But I guess that's something one can live with
