Advanced Roller Mod (ARM)

Version: 1.2.5
by: Califax [More]

Main Features:
~~~~~~~~~~
ARM is an extended version of Lelek's Raidroller. It has two modes for rolling on items;
1. One Common Roll
The Common roll does the same as Lelek's Raidroller, with one difference: you can with ARM, not only have 1 number per member, but can choose between 1 and 100 numbers per member. It then does one roll from 1 to the highest number and finds who the winner is.
Example with 10 numbers per member: Member1: 1-10, Member2: 11-20, Member3: 21-30 (and so on)
2. Seperate Roll per Member
The Seperate roll per Member does one roll from and to a selected range ( default is 1-100 ) for each member of the party or raid, and finds the member that was rolled highest for.
Additional features and options:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ Selectable number of members' numbers to be printed at each line.
You can select how many of the members' numbers you want to be printed out at each line when performing rolls.
Default is 5.

+ "GuaranteeItem" option
This is a selectable option that makes it so that everyone in the party/raid have to win once, before anyone can win a second time. Thereafter everyone has to win a second time, before anyone can win a third time, and so on.
Default is disabled.

+ Roll Sets
You can with this make customized rolls for specified items, a specified item or when a specified message is given when rolling. You can choose it should roll for everyone or for which selected classes. You can also choose a winnerlist number for GuaranteeItem to store its winners. Thereby, several sets can share a winnerlist, or lists can have a seperate winnerlist for their own.

Example:
Default set: Used if no other set matched, Everyone, GI Disabled
Set2: Uncommon Items - Everyone - GI Enabled (list 1)
Set2: Rare Items - Everyone - GI Enabled (list 2)
Set3: item: [Witherbark Coin] - for Priest, Mage, Warrior, Warlock, Paladin, Shaman - GI Enabled (list 3)
Set4: message: "hunteritem" - for Hunters - GI Disabled

In this example, winning for example a rare item doesnt affect your chance of winning a green item, since there is a roll set for uncommon items using winnerlist 1, and a roll set for rare items using winnerlist 2.

Also there is a roll set who is used when rolling for one specific item, [Witherbark Coin], which is only rolled available for Priest, Mage, Warrior, Warlock, Paladin and Shaman. This set uses winnerlist 3, so it doesnt affect any of the other sets winnerlists.

And the last roll set is used when the message "hunteritem" is given after the /arm command to roll. This set doesnt use GuaranteeItem at all.

As default there's only the Default set, and it rolls for everyone for everything. If you dont want to use roll sets, this is the only one that should be present, and thereby used for all rolls.

+ Optionable function to quick roll items
Optionable function to quick roll an item by hovering over it in the loot window or inventory, holding down the ALT-button, and clicking the item. This option can also be turned off if it is not wanted.
Default is Inventory quick roll disabled and Loot Window quick roll enabled.

+ Optionable customizable colours for the roll message
For easier to seperate normal party/raid chat from the rolls you can now customize the roll messages in the colours you prefer. For the members in your party/raid to be able to see/choose colours for the roll messages, they need to have ARM ( version 1.2.4 ) installed as well.
The colouring of the text can also be turned off if it is not wanted, and is disabled as default.

Usage:
~~~~~
Command: /arm [Message or Item Link]
Description: Make a roll. A message or item link is not required, but is used to specify roll sets.
Command: /armoptions
Description: Brings up the configuration window, where you can choose roll modes, numbers and print options.
Command: /resetgi all (or) /resetgi <listnumber>
Description: Resets all winnerlists, or the specified winnerlist number.
Command: /armundo <listnumber>
Description: Removes the last winner from the selected winnerlist.
It's been a year since any comments were posted here, but I am having issues with my favorite roller mod.
Quickloot in the loot box has completely stopped working as of 2.3. I have successfully modified the code in the past to use the new LeftAlt functionality but i cant seem to fix the loot window issue.
Is there anyone who might have any ideas?
At this point I can not see a place for this kind of feature in ARM, maybe it would rather be better off made as a seperate modification in stead?
Probably, they are adding DKP or something in its place to the rolls to get a fairer chance if contributed more to the raid until that point.
Dagar, I would say,check Ni Karma System, I've read and used different DKP systems and NKS is by far the best and handles rolls in its addon
rolling ranges
My guild uses a unique way of rolling and we need a way to track rolling. We roll with rolls like so:
/roll 20-120
/roll 1-100
/roll 35-135
and those are all valid rolls. Can this addon accommodate this?
Reply to chatframe going white & error.
I havent noticed any error message of this kind yet. Could you specify the error message you get?
Additionally, have you tried disabling and enabling other chat-modifications that could maybe have interferred with ARM?
If you had a previous version of ARM installed before, you should try delete your savedvariables file for ARM. (located: WoW/WTFAccount\'AccountName'\SavedVariables\AdvRoller.lua)
