An addon to merge guild ranks. Will take the commands:

/rm, short list of the commands
/rm list, lists all the ranks and their number.
/rm pro X, promotes all members of rank X one time
/rm de X, demotes all members of rank X one time

What will happen is that when pro/de is commanded one member of that rank will be promoted/demoted per second until there is no more members of that rank.
Only way to abort a wrong command is currently exiting the game, so pay attention which commands you issue.
Let one command finish until the next one is issued to avoid strange behaviour.

Remember that ranks are merged. Therefore trying to switching place of two ranks isn't possible.
Doesn't check if you can do the action or not, so use common sense.

Dependencies: Chronos - Not included.

It will promote all members of a rank regardless of their online status.
The idea behind the addon was to free up rank slots. The guild I was in at the time I wrote the addon had a mess of their ranks and it needed some cleaning up. This mostly consisted of collapsing ranks into fewer ranks, and therefor this addon was made, to lessen the amount of promote/demote clicking.

I could look into some online checking toggle, but I will have no way of testing my code as I haven't had an active subscription since last summer.
That update I just did was just to make it downloadable by Minion (by packing it in .zip instead of .rar) and the code haven't been changed since April last year.

Looks like a quite easy thing to add though, so I might be able to add it without (hopefully) breaking anything, assuming the addon still works.

A few clicks fewer to pack as .rar than .zip on my system, which is the reason it was in .rar
(Also, the addon was here before Minion was released to the public :P)

I most certainly agree on your reasoning, and the need for the archive part is what is important, compressing algorithm much less, making the choice of file format unimportant. No need to berate me before you all the details!
