GearFit
Version 1.4

About

Please note, this is the first release version. If you download it, expect that it isn't going to work perfectly or completely. Please send me feedback. It will help me make this an effective tool.

GearFit is meant as a simple data aggregator. The idea is to help in making decisions about new items of gear.

GF number is based on iLevel of the item and your currently equipped iLevel.
Recommendation as suitable or not is based on class and primary attributes.

It reports the full report only to you. ( /gearfit a )
It will report the partial report to guild, say, party, raid and battle ground. ( /gearfit g ) p or r
It will give you a simple score for items on mouse over.

Basically you get your GF Score, based on the iLevel of all the items you have equipped. Plus a Suitable or Not Suitable, followed by a number that is the total suitable stats bonus for your character class.

For Example:

GearFit: 23 Suitable: +8

or

Gearfit: 23 Not Suitable: -8

this tells you that the item you moused over is suitable, would grant you 8 useable stat bonus or not suitable and would reduce your useable stats by 8.

If you have any suggestions of what more, or less, to include please let me know.

Well, here's the first suggestion I can think of: Rather than displaying the report on two lines, display it on one.

After all, you only need to see the report on the current gear you have just so that you can subtract it and see how much better (or not) the new piece is. Why not do that automatically?

GearFit: 23 (+2) Suitable: 8 (+4)

The + in parens is obviously the difference from your current gear, could be negative, and I would color the numbers green and red based on whether the difference is positive or negative.

My other suggestion is to place this info in the tooltip rather than output to a chat frame. I'm not sure if I'd actually do it though, as that starts to be very much like RatingBuster. But then, this could be considered an ultra lightweight version of that, and so not necessarily competing with RB.
