Black List

Version: 1.2.3
by: siv0968 [More]

What is Black List?
Black List is a World of Warcraft addon that adds a new players list (called "Black") to your Friends Tab on the Social Panel, near Friend List, Ignore List and Mute List.
You can store players level, class, race, and a reason for blacklisting them.
Black List automatically warns you (if you want) with sound and text if you encounter a player in List, and ignore him (if you want) rejecting whispers and party invites.

How I use it?
It's easy to add someone to your Black List! You can:

* right click on the Target frame or any chat name, and shift click on "Add to BL" menu;
* click the "Add Player" button on "Black" tab in Friends Tab on the Social panel;
* type /blacklist (or /bl) into your chat box.

For the slash command, you may also specific the reason with the name, "/blacklist <Name> <Reason>".
If you have someone targeted, Black List will add them and populate the details automatically. If you mouse over him, Black List automatically update information for that player.
"Ignore player" checkbox will toggle ignoring someone's communications (excluding BG chat) and party invites.
"Warn me" checkbox will toggle warning you with text if the player in list name appears with /who command or in Who tab in Social Panel, or you receive a whisper or a party invite from the person be in the same party as them; it also warns you with text and sound if you target them or mouse over them.
You can also edit their level, class, and race by clicking the "Edit" button on the details popup or edit the reason by clicking on the textbox and typing.
To remove someone, click their name in the Black List and click the "Remove Player" button or type /removeblacklist (or /removebl) <Name> into the chat box.

Why should I use it?
For people of the same faction, think about ninjas (for example people that need objects useless for them), or people that use blasphemies insted of commas, or who leaves a party without reason, or "bad player", etc.
For people of the other faction, think about people attacking you while you're in combat, or camping you, or attacking you only when they have a lvl 70 friend near them, or "/rasp" and "/spit" you in neutral cities... do you need other examples?
Compared to Ignore List, Black List can be very useful because you can add a reason to a player, and it remembers the names and the "why" about people for you.

- Add the ability to add players in Black List right clicking on their name also in chat (whisper, guild, trade, etc.).

This looks very much like Cirk's Badapples.

Oh yes I've seen now, I didn't know about that addon.
My addon is "Blacklist Addon" update - http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/8426/ - with integrations and bug corrections.
I've taken the discontinued old addon at september 2007.
If Badapples will be updated I'll sure take a decision if to share Black List features with his author in order to make a unique addon.

Thanks for feedback.

Great addon from the little I can see from the screenshots . I was developing a blacklist addon myself but I paused the project a long time ago (it's functional but I had to optimize and clear up a few things), since there already is an addon like this (yours) I decided to halt my project and use your addon instead. Great work and keep it up!

I'll sure do it, and if you like to help me developing it (some features I have no time to develop at this time is to add a checkbox in order to identify the new player like "friend", with different sound and message when you encounter him, or the ability to automatically ignore a player of your faction when you black list him or automatically mute him) I'll sure give you credits and a lots of thanks

It would be nice to add players to the black list via their name in the chat (right click on their name, like ignore for example)

Done
In 1.2.3 version, I've added the ability to add players in Black List right clicking on their name also in chat (whisper, guild, trade, etc.).

ahahaha thanks a lot! Yes, if an addon has some (or "a lot of") downloads and no comments, maybe it gives (almost) all a player wants :P
...oh well I hope it, because I've no time in these months to add features!
