What is FauxMazzle?
FauxMazzle is a look and feel tribute to MazzleFizz's once great MazzleUI that sadly didn't make it out of The Burning Crusade... the original Burning Crusade that is.

Update: Compatability update for changes with 10.2.5

10.2.1 - 18/12/2023

Fix: For change to the gamge API causing FM to think the addons it uses were all missing or disabled. The Fix: will cause all addons to be internally (in FM) enabled for most characters played since 10.2 (or possibly earlier). Any you want disabled will have to be done manualy again in the FauxMazzle settings.

The addition of The Burning Crusade Classic adds a whole lot of new moving parts with yet another set of addons that may or may not work in BCC and like Classic, some may never work. Cloning Classic -> BCC and BCC -> Classic adds a shiny new set of problems that didn't fully materialise until after release. Most notable missing addon from this release is probably AutoBar. I don't know if a BCC version will be made available in the furure (near or otherwise). With all that, I'm hoping I didn't miss to many things but if you have errors , please let me know and I'll fix what I can. There is also a manually compiled version of Prat linked on the Prat 3 comment section on Curse that has BCC fixes in it that I have tried out and it's working fine.

Thank you for the feedback.

AB didn't work in the early Betas and I haven't tried it recently(so far MuffinManKen hasn't give any indiction he's done anything with AB for BCC). I'll give it another look. The major concern is if there are any difference in ids from Classic to BCC or new BCC ids that aren't included then the "Auto" part of AB might be problematic.

The Prat included in this package contains some fixes I made in the hope Sylvanaar will do a "proper" fix in the not-too-distant future. If you tried it before using the version from the Prat comments link, did you find any errors?

Edit: Using AutoBarClassic in BCC seems to work but it won't be configured by the FM setup processor for any new characters atm.

I have not tested your fixed version.

And so far I have not experianced any errors with the comment Prat3 version.

I'll leave the current Prat in the package and people can choose. Hopefully Sylvanaar will make the choice redundant sooner rather than later

There's still a couple of refinements to sizing in some texts and AutoBar scaling that I will make in the next update. There's always slight differences between the Beta/PTR environments and live.

The addon is successfully loaded (i.e. I can type /atb config and have it come up) there's just nothing on the bars at all. It works fun on a lower level hunter and priest, but not on my max-level druid. I've tried resetting the profile for my druid completely, copying the UI settings from the hunter over to the druid (despite copying the hunter settings FROM the druid originally), and resetting the autobar defaults on the druid. Nothing seems to make ti work/showup for my druid. I can screenshot or screen share over discord if that would help in any way.

Thank you for using FauxMazzle.

It will pretty much depend on addons. I think as far as the core of FauxMazzle is concerned there shouldn't be be a whole lot of work involved (at least as of today from the once or twice I logged onto the PTR).

If it's not available on day one I should at least have an idea on whether and if so, how long before there are going to be enough parts available to build a WoTLK version.

If you're asking, I should probably go and find out when it's supposed to be released

WotLK, I thought it did work apart from some addons being broken which you should be able to remove and then go on as per normal (minus the addons ovbiously

.

I could build a download without the broken addons.... but you would still have to remove the old yourself ones anyway

Nothing Changes, and DuF seems completely unresponsive and invisible, aside from the menu. I have reset the WTF/Saved Variables and I'm actually on a fresh install of Wrath. Part of me leads to beleive its a system issue rather than an addon issue, as I had self configuration issues with SpartanUI as well (Just tested for diagnostic purposes). The folders are not set to read-only.

First I would recommend checking that the "Load out of date AddOns" box is checked under the "AddOns" button at the character select/create screen.

Next I would enable errors by entering the following in the chat edit box

followed by a reload and report any errors you have.

It would be unusual for both UIs to fail unless there is something happening that is "out-of-the-ordinary".

Screen resolution might be a factor as FauxMazzle (and I suspect most of the "bottom art heavy" UIs really don't work with todays ultra wide monitors). In looks anyway even if they do somehow configure.

I love FauxMazzle, and I haven't even used it. Years and years ago when I first started playing WoW (young), I had used the very last original release, and I loved it. Every time there has been a Mazzle type UI I've used it over the years. Thank you for keeping the Fizz alive!

Load Outdated Addons is indeed checked, we're not read only, tried running WoW as admin, took ownership of the folders even, windows UAC is disabled. The addons all appear to be loading as confirmed via addons menu addon and blizz ui's, but they dont config properly. The FM menu behaves oddly as well, to get some of the tabs to load I have to click around between tabs until it happens to load, however addons never does. My PC isn't slow so its not a potato pc thing. I enabled errors and did a /reload and It threw no errors.

This is what I get after running through the setup, which doesn't look any different than pre-setup. The skin option works and I fiddle with it, though!
