MiirGui [Core]  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.3.0-0002
by: Miiru [More]

This is the MiirGui [Core] addon which should be used with:

MiirGui Texture Pack Blue

or

MiirGui Texture Pack Grey

It contains only the miirgui addon but no textures. I split up the two because the code is updated way more often than the textures.

By typing /miirgui you can choose which texture pack you have 'installed'. At your first login, the default profile will be blue,
just change it to grey if you use the grey texture pack.

Paste into your addon folder.

If you have any problems, post in the comments section.

I probably haven't updated since just after the release of Legion, but after updating today, MiirGUI is fighting with my minimap add-on, QuseMap. QM is old and outdated, but it still works and it's the only minimap add-on which gives a nice rectangular look. Unfortunately, after updating MiirGUI today my minimap now looks like this:

The black outline on the minimap is where some kgPanels textures normally outline QuseMap, but as you can see, MiirGUI is extending the minimap both above and below that area.

Also, I seem to have lost any outline around my quest tracker, as well, but I'm still looking into that.

EDIT:

I found an old pre-Legion version of the MiirGUI core folder, and here is what it has looked like up until today's update:

For your first problem, it probably should work to comment out or delete line 4 and line 33 in framexml/minimap.lua.

I should probably add a toggle in the options menu for the minimap. I just downloaded Qusemap and added an option to /miirgui to disable all minimap related stuff. There is really no need for it if you use a minimap addon. It will be included in the next update.

It should have showed you an .lua error also. Do you have lua errors disabled?

Is the outline only missing around the questtracker? Are you using any addon related to the quest tracker?

This fix worked, thanks.

They were disabled, but I just re-enabled them to check this and I do not get any Lua errors from MiirGUI at all. I know Lua errors are definitely enabled because I have one from Prat which pops up every single /reload.

I wish I could better answer this question, but I don't know. I'm looking through areas of the interface where I might be able to better see if an outline should be present and is missing, but because everything has a dark background I can't actually tell. The quest tracker is the only element which hovers over a transparent area which I can easily see that an outline is missing.

Literally everything should have an outline. Unless cpu saver is enabled of course.

So, I was able to track it down (it wasn't CPU Saver). I've been using both Fontain and MiirGUI together for quite some time (over a year) and have never had to change the outline setting in Fontain, but today after updating MiirGUI, I have to now enable the outline for the Objective Tracker frame in Fontain. It's very weird that I haven't had to do that... ever, but I'm glad I tracked it down.

And just to be clear, these are two add-ons which I've been using across multiple characters for all of this time with the same settings, as can be seen with the old version of MiirGUI (bottom screenshot from my prior post) where MiirGUI and Fontain (with Objective Tracker frame outline disabled) are working together as expected.

@MiRai:

That is probably caused by a rewrite of the whole font system in miirgui.

Before this update, the m_font function added an outline to the fonts. But this caused many problems because adding an outline to a font adds a new instance (say sth like a clone) of that font, and after an hour of questing or so, you would have 1000 instances of the same font, severely slowing down your machine.

So now when miirgui loads, it sets an outline to each font-template in the game. M_font then just adds the color. When fountain loads, it sets your chosen option (no outline @ objectivetracker) and because m_font just sets the color, there's no outline.

@b3n9ti:

What's the addon name to collapse the stats frame? It is certainly caused by this addon, i need the name to take a look at it.

it's called "DejaCharacterStats" http://www.wowinterface.com/download...cterStats.html

also, BetterArchaeologyUI seems broken again. some tabs do not work. http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/better-archaeology-ui/

thanks =)

There seems to be some other addons causing that incombat error with the characterframe when using DejaCharacterStast. (https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/de...erstats?page=2)

This addon is awsome, but when used together with "Oilvl" (another nice addon) it buggs out.

When i open the character tab while in combat, the stat frame overlapp the character one, is this a known issue?
Thanks for the report.
Quick fix in latest build, if Oilvl is enabled and youa re in combat DCS will lock down the expand button. If Oilvl is not enabled DCS's expand will work in combat.

Cheers!
I will nevertheless take a look at it.

edit: Hitting the training dummy and spamming open/close character pane and i dont get the error :/ Are you on the newest version of deja?

You need to update the texture pack! (Questframe/QuestBG.blp)

go to miirgui/functions.lua search for SetFont(SystemFont_LargeNamePlate,11) and replace 11 by your desired font-size. That should work.

My chat box since the new version doesn't have the font outline but everywhere else does. If I turn on cpu saver it gets the outline again.
