GnomishVendorShrinker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.0.0.23-Beta
by: Tekkub [More]

GnomishVendorShrinker creates a simple, compact vendor frame, made to compliment GnomishAuctionShrinker. GVS brings an interface similar to Auctioneer's "CompactUI" to the vendor frame.

Features

  • Simple one-line-per-item interface
  • Scrolling list, none of that "paging" crap that makes navigation slow
  • Clicking an item simply buys it, instead of picking up the item
  • Alt-click buys a full stack (or as close to a full stack as is possible for limited-stock items)
  • Ctrl- and shift-click behave as default (dress-up and paste link, respectively)
  • Recipes you do not yet know are highlighted in blue
  • Items you cannot use are highlighted in red
  • Search box to help you find that item you're after on a vendor with hundreds of items
Un-features
  • No support for split-stack purchases, I'm not convinced it's needed.

Does anyone know what LUA lines to change to make this purchase on right click only?

Right Click (multiple purchase)

perhaps I've missed the notes but I cannot for example purchase 25 emblems for Valor at one go (from Conqs), is this another function or a design intent?

Cheers,

- Sudo.

Click a thin expansion mark at the right of a line. It'll let you enter a number.

Thank you for mentioning this, I was looking for a way to make that ugly numbers font look nice, but I am absolutely hopeless at editing a lua file without external direction. This advice was exactly what I needed.

Love the addon, Tekkub!

Feature Request

Would it be possible to add a checkbox to auto-filter out the items that I'm unable to us (IE: Plate/Mail/Leather will be filtered from the list if I am logged in as my mage)

It'd be awesome if it were possible to filter by slot as well (IE: show only offhand weapons).

Thanks for a great addon!

I second the filter options, but I would like the ability to choose my filter (not have it automatically do it based on class). I don't want to waste my emblems on leather gear on my DK, even though I can use leather. Great addon, I love it, thanks so much Tekkub. XD

Also, shouldn't the "un-features" section be changed, since it does support split stack purchases? Or am I crazy?

absolutely love it!

Thou, is there any way to swap buying back to right button instead of left?

The default button for buying an item from a vendor without the addon is right click.. Currently, right click does nothing on this addon. However, left clicking will buy the item.

I haven't done it yet, but I know I will eventually accidentally left click to try to get more info on the item, and end up buying it by mistake.

I constantly try to right click and buy an item.

It would be nice if right click purchased the moused over item, instead of absolutely nothing.

It would be great if left click did something else, like open the stack size box.

I'm sure this wouldn't be too hard to edit into the code.. if you would rather not make it a default feature, could you please tell me which lines to edit in the lua and how?

After 5 years of right-clicking to purchase items from vendors, left-clicknig is sure $#%@ing me up sideways...lol. I had ImprovedMerchant, but this is much better aside from the right-clicking issue.

Sorry to say, but you are likely talking to a brick wall here just based on who the author is. He is well known for taking a "don't like it? Don't use it." type of attitude and is notoriously lazy. I mean look at all his addons that, while they work just fine if you enable "load out of date addons", would only require a simple TOC file update and synch to the addon sites to make thousands of user's lives easier.

I've always wondered about people who code, but don't like to code. If you don't like to code, then why code?

Absolutely, but it never hurts to ask. I'll just mess with the code myself and make the necessary changes I want. Just have to remember Tekkub != "feature requests."

Would be great if you could post the changes you make here, I'm sure everybody would appreciate it.
