MetaHud - Nuckin Branch  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v30300-8.5
by: Nuckin [More]

MetaHud - Nuckin Branch is a Heads Up Display Add-on for World of Warcraft 3.0 and above. It is a continuation of the original MetaHud by MetaHawk which was discontinued after Patch 2.4.3.

Although MH-Nuckin is a continuation, it isn't the same. MH-Nuckin is focused on remaining encapsulated as a self sustaining Add-on without requiring other libraries. As thus, its feature set differs from MetaHud's.

As of v30100-8.0, MetaHud - Nuckin Branch no longer includes a cast bar. I suggest using my stand alone cast bar called Circle Cast.

MetaHud - Nuckin Branch Features: (as of v30100-8.0)

  • Curved Verticle Health, Mana, Rage, Energy, and Runic Power bars for Player, Target, and Pets.
  • Target's Target Name and Health Bar.
  • Reskinnable Bar Backgrounds.
  • Death Knight rune support.
  • Movable Death Knight Runes.
  • Skinnable Death Knight Runes.
  • Target Buffs (40) and Target Debuffs (40).
  • Countdown timers on all Target Auras.
  • Movable and Resizable Target Auras.
  • Target range indicator.
  • Target guild display.
  • Resting, PvP, Combat, Leader, and Looter icons.
  • Text based Threat Meter.
  • Unique HUD texture that are exclusive to MetaHud - Nuckin Branch.
  • In Game graphical configuration tool to make MetaHud look and feel how you want.
  • Savable Profiles per Warcraft Account.

I like the target of target window, but would it be possible to add a check to determine if I am MY OWN target (therefor it shows me as the target of the target), to not show the window.

Thanks,
vpr

However I think it should be shown at all times, along with its HP, in the pet mana location.
Update on this issue for ya for when you're ready to get cracking.

I noticed today that the text percentage in the pet-mana location is correctly showing for vehicle/possession energy. It will actively regen and everything, and seems accurate. So it would seem that the only thing not showing up is the bar itself. Hope that makes things easier for you when you get around to working on it

I'm also having the "Cannot see or interact with the glyph window" problem. Only happen when I load metahud.

I'm not sure if the problem is related or not but Clique option window also doesn't work properly when metahud is loaded. The windows display when I click on the little rabbit tab but some of the widgets are not there and none of the widgets that are there are working. I cannot click on the X to close the window for example.

Another thing that doesn't work when metahud is loaded are the buttons that MobMap adds to the quest log.

One last thing that doesn't work for me is clicking on the coordinate in the LightHeaded window to get a TomTom way point.

Again, I'm not sure if it is all related but it feels like it is. I'll do more tests and see if I can find out more.

Best

Found a few more things, and I'm sad to say that I've picked up IceHUD because of it:

1. Cannot see Glyphs
2. CowTip has a health bar below the tooltip on mouseover, this does not update with MetaHud active but does when it is not loaded. It updates only when I move the cursor off and then back on with MetaHud loaded.
3. Vehicles - when I leave a vehicle my Character button (C), Achievements, Quest Log, Computer, etc buttons go missing. This consistently happens when MetaHud is loaded and never happens when it is not.
4. Bayi's EQL has the option to use a double wide quest log. With MetaHud active I may only see 6 out of, say 10 quests, in my quest log. The others don't show up. With MetaHud active and beql active & in the normal quest log style, this doesn't happen. Again, with Metahud not loaded this never happens.

I wish I could provide an error log but it never creates one (still).

My investigation so far (in case it helps).

Putting the Blizzard Glyph addon as an optional dependency of MetaHud appear to solve the glyph window problem most of the time but not always.

I've also tried to make the other problematic addons as optional dependencies but I don't think it had any real effect.

Another thing I did was to remove nearly all of the reference to the 'this' variable in the MetaHud. The 'this' variable is deprecated and it is something that could have side effect with other addons. Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problems.

I'll try other things during the weekend.

Something is causing this error to popup in game - I suspect it MIGHT be Metahud, but i'm not entirely sure. So I'm posting to see if anyone else has noticed this:

Code:

It usually produces 2 of these errors simultaneously and for the rest of the gaming session it never pops up again.

strange, I don't see any addon name mentioned in that stack trace at all. Owell, I will use this post to announce that after some super-duper questing/relaxation time today, I will be re-entering development into version 7... so quit yelling at me

Thanks for the update! Small bug...

Woot! Thanks for taking the time to update one of my favorite addons. I'd been limping along with a self-hacked version for a while, but yours has all the stuff mine was missing and seems to be working great.

One small problem: If I have the regular player frame enabled, I see the DK runes shown even though I am not a DK.

Once again, you're awesome! Thanks for the updates.

Z.
