OrkoUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.0
by: Orko [More]

Made on 1920X1080 Resolution - Can be modified for other sizes via Plugin Menu

I have been working on this addon since 2009. Now it is set up in ElvUI (not included) and as of V10 all graphics can be re-sized and also re-colored.
There are two layouts included with this. Version 1 is a more graphical layout with all the art on the bottom of the screen.
Version 2 is a more minimalistic layout which is what I personally use. More suited for healers or if you want to immerse yourself in the world!

  • You must also install ElvUI Retail version as it is required for this addon to work.
  • ElvUI Retail Version - LINK

  • Masque - Now included with custom buttons for OrkoUI
  • SimpleRareElite - Now included and working as of Shadowlands
  • Skada - Now included

  • Just copy the INTERFACE folder into your World of Warcraft Retail installation folder.
  • I recommend skipping the ELVUI Installation Process by pressing Continue until it is finished.
  • The OrkoUI Layout Install will run after the ElvUI Installer is complete.
  • Select Version 1 or Version 2 layouts.

Note: As of now, you can NOT freely swap between the two layouts and keep changes you make to them. I will fix this some day when I have time.
I do not get donations or get paid for this so any requests or fixes will happen when I feel like it.

Enjoy!

v10 5/7/2022
New overhaul of code and included two layouts.
Version 1 Layout is a graphical style
Version 2 Layout is a minimalistic style
All frames on both versions can be adjusted in size and position and color!
Still need to install a way to save custom panel sizes in case you flip to a different layout version

v9 (8-11-18)
Complete port to ElvUI. Now uses ElvUI layout installer to make the installation smooth. No more WTF folder issues. Can also use the TukUI Client to install.

v8 Updated ( 8-8-17)
- Change the UI over to use ElvUI as the backbone. But its not a hard coded layout. Still have to use some addons to make it work.
-Deleted a lot of addons that were not needed because of using ElvUI.

I've got to ask, what is the addon that causes the Warrior bar that just sits there in the bottom left above the action bars, the one with the Battle Stance and Charge macro on it, to show up? I thought it was Dominos, but I disabled all addons but Dominos and it was gone, yet I can only edit the bindigns to it THROUGH DOMINOS, but I cannot resize it or move it through Dominos.

It's kind of annoying and I'd like to get rid of it, hoping you can give me an answer.

Autobar!!

type /autobar config I think thats it :-)

You can find an option in there that will show something like this.
+ Basic
+ Warrior (or class)
+ Extra

it you open your class or warrior option, then you will see a box on the right side that you have to unclick and disable it.

first time using this after using Arkive UI for some time i wanted a change and this is really cool

like it has been mentioned i like the idea for a different color for each class to give this a unique selling point

one thing i have and not sure if it is anyone else but after i get it set up i have a black box still on the screen so if you have any idea let me know

You can change the class color in Pitbull if you'd like. Tried to keep it all the same so it looks uniformed and not a ton of color everywhere. I'll keep it in mind though as a possible change.

The black box maybe BigRed. It is what takes that red text of errors out.
Type /bigred and either select Orko profile or move it to your liking and click Lock.

And thank you for your kind words. I am so glad other people like it as much as me

Any tips for an easy transition to the lowest UI scale on 1680x1050 (i really prefer having the lowest UI scale, so any help would be great).

The bad thing about the scale is that all the panels would have to be moved and scaled back to size... Its a real pain and this is what I had to do with OnlslaughtUI cause it was too small... Not sure theres anything I can do to help you but will keep thinking about it.

Ok after several cups of coffee I came up with this.... lol
Ill just make a version that is the lowest scale.. even if its 1440x900 it will still be lowest scale on your resolution too. Maybe more people could use it on higher resolutions then :-)

Ive been looking fot a neat looking ui at the lowest resolution that's not minuscule but really usable and attractive for a long time.

On at least two seperate occassions I tried rescaling Onslaught , only to give up in sheer frustration for one reason or the other.

I'm eagerly waiting to see how it turns out, I'll be one of the first to check it out!

To Install:
Same as anyother UI... When you first log in you will see a mess. Just hit Esc and get into Interface Options. Select Addons tab, then find Classtimer, Dominos, Omen, Recount and Satrina Buff Frames. Select OrkoUI profile. Then type /rl

To use different color themes.....

The default color will be grey. To change to different colors, type /kgpanels config.... Then goto where you see Layout and select the color you like (black, blue, purple)... then in the window to the right click activate.

Also could just type
/kgpanels layout Black
/kgpanels layout Blue
/kgpanels layout Purple
/kgpanels layout OrkoUI (for default)

This is on the front page. Dont know what else to say. I am working on making this part easier. But for now this is how it has to be done.

Must say that I really like this UI. I have tried a couple and they all always seem to drop my fps massively and with this one I have no problems (I think my fps actually increased). Must agree with one of the previous post about making a layout color for each class, I think that would just tweak the awesomeness of it. Good job

I am planning on making class panel colors for the UI.. May also change a few things around. I will be making it for the smallest UI also. Its easier to make the panels (character, spell book, social, etc...) bigger than making the whole UI smaller. So will see how that goes. Im glad folks like the UI.. I do too for when I do my dps classes

Well I am trying to work out the class color panels but its just not working out too well... For instance, the Deathknight would be a real bright red based off class color and also the paladin would look pink.. Not sure too many guys want a pink UI... May try some different ways of skinning it but so far I am not liking it at all.

hehe I hear ya.. Well just released the first version with class colors.. Hope it works out. Let me know if anyone has issues and will try to work them out for ya.

As far as major updates to all the different class color panels. Will see how much work it will be. This one took some time to create so if I have to update every single class color layout... ((shivers)) !!
