Do you keep missing Bloodlust? Do you wish it would be a bit more... eventful?
This AddOn plays the famous song Power of the Horde whenever you gain Bloodlust for that little extra kick. Whether or not you actually need the extra reminder, I recommend you try it out!
Oh, and it does work with Heroism as well, for all those Alliance shamans who wish they'd get to experience what the might of the Horde is all about.
Still not convinced? Watch this video (mixed mode)! (Enhanced Bloodlust at 1:25, the link should take you directly there)
NOTE: Only enabled in combat. If you want to test, use the slash command or find a training dummy
Features
Enhanced Bloodlust used to include a large number of features, such as shouts or on-screen messages. The AddOn is now rewritten for simplicity and awesomeness.

I just uploaded the update for 6.2. I added the sound channel option to the configuration file, by default it's set to Master.

Love the addon
though I was expecting like the screen to turn red or something awesome like that, I'm sure I can add it though. |

Volume
One thing I noticed was the sound matched the in-game volume; it didn't particularly stand out. I understand that to increase the volume increases everything else as well, so what I'd suggest is editing the volume of the mp3's themselves (This won't work for Long, because you call upon the built-in sound rather than the attached files).
On a completely unrelated note, Ancient Hysteria isn't in the list to be checked. |

Thank you for your response!
Ok, so I was guilty of the unthinkable, I posted a question while not using the latest version! Sorry about that. Everything is working great now! Love this mod! Some vent snippets from the first raid with most of the guild running your mod: "Bloodlust in 3..." (Bloodlust) "Awesome!" "Oh man... Epic!" "Best. Mod. Ever." ...and a lot of LOLs. (We are a guild of old men and women, what did you expect?)

Technical explanation incoming! In WoW there are a few different sound channels: you could say "master", "effects" and "music" are the major ones. Music is, obviously, music, effects are stuff like spell cast sounds or voices of characters while overall controls the overall sound level (it affects both effects and music). Before the latest version of the mod it used the music channel. What the mod did was to stop the music playing, turn the music volume up to full and then play the sound, and when it was over, turn the sound back to the level it was before the sound began. Unfortunately, this was unreliable. According to WoWWiki, sounds played on that channel would stop for no reason during some raid encounters, and I experienced it a lot myself. So, I had to change it to the effects channel. The problem with having it on the effects channel is that there is really nothing that can be done to distinguish the Bloodlust sounds from the other game sounds - if I increase the volume of the effects channel, the other noise will also become louder. Because of this, I decided I wouldn't touch the sound settings other than muting the sounds on the music channel for the duration of the song. Okey, a lot of boring stuff so far not really related to your comment. But now a direct reply: in the latest version, music volume settings should not affect the sounds of my mod at all. Overall sounds settings and effect sound setting will change the volume. I do not want to automatically control the effects sound level because there are a lot of sounds on that same channel, and it might be considered annoying. I might, however, look into adding an option to take control of the effects channel, which would be disabled by default. Thanks again for your feedback! |

My guild has begun using this and most of us love it! I, however, can't hear the song very well.
I keep my music sounds low. I can hear your mod better if I jack up the music setting, but I don't want to hear loud music all the time. Do these have to be tied together or is there something I'm missing? If they must be tied together, is there a way to have the mod change the sound settings to play music at louder volume during the duration of Bloodlust? (Similar to the fishing mods that change sound settings to assist in hearing the splash sound of a fish on the line.) Thank you for a great mod, and my apologies if I missed something. |

Again, sorry for the mistake. EDIT: The fix didn't work on it, please stand by... For those who care, the music starts playing but then pretty much instantly stops again. EDIT2: Found this on WoWWiki... "For some reason, during most (but not all) raid encounters the music played will suddenly stop." Seems like I need to rewrite the mod to use PlaySoundFile.
