A somewhat lightweight UI compilation, intended to be used as is, or as a base for adding more of your personalized add-ons.
Updated for 3.1
Resolution: 1280x800
Frame rate cap: 30 fps
Change the frame rate cap with the in game command:
/console set maxfps xx
Change the screenshot file type from tga to jpg with the in game commands:
/console screenshotFormat jpg
/console screenshotQuality 3
Instructions:
1) Rename your WTF and INTERFACE folders to WTF_Backup and INTERFACE_Backup
2) Extract the INTERFACE, FONTS and WTF folders from the packs to your WoW root directory
3) In the WTF folder, rename the folders ACCOUNT NAME (your account name), Server (the server you're playing on) and Character (Your character name. Remember that you need to copy and rename this folder for all your alts). These folders are case sensitive.
4) Load up WoW and login
5) At the character selection screen, click "Addons" in the lower left portion of the screen. SINCE 3.0.2 Patch = BE SURE TO CHECK LOAD OUT OF DATE ADDONS. There are only a couple that are outdated, but they still function.
6) Video settings are by default set to midrange settings, redo your settings (graphics, Color depth etc) as you had them before.
7) You MUST set the following add-ons to their "default" profiles upon login to get the look represented on the screenshots!
8) /reload interface and enjoy!

Some reasoning behind this UI
------- EDIT -------
I no longer play on my old MacBook as it was unbearable playing Wrath on it considering the integrated gfx chip. I do however still play on a laptop, a Dell XPS M1330 which should be the equivalent performance wise to the new 13" MacBooks and 13" MacBook Pros. The UI is hence still tailored to a laptop environment, however, not as memory efficient as it previously was (thank god, more addons ftw <.<) ------- END EDIT ------- I made this UI because I got myself a MacBook, and as anyone having a MacBook knows, their not really optimal for playing any games. (Let me just point out here and now that you will have no issues using this UI on a PC, or with higher resolutions, you might just need to adjust the font sizes for some add-ons if you use a different resolution, and if you have a nice beefed up monster computer, you really don't need to read all of this ). After reading some rather depressing threads on the official forms about optimizing settings for MacBooks, this is what I play with at the moment. My MacBook is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB RAM. The RAM does help quite a bit, so if you have a similar configuration but with less ram, I suggest you lower some settings according to below. Though it's not really optimal to use some of the texture settings with this UI (just lower them if you encounter any issues), it still works fairly well on my computer. You will of course have lag in Shattrath which isn't really avoidable, but instancing and leveling should be fairly smooth. I'm also fairly sure that you could lower the load on your computer by exchanging the bar, and unit frame add-ons. I just realized I couldn't live without them To that end, I've also included Bartender4 and Buttonfacade if you want to exchange Bartender3 and cyCircled (somewhat less demanding). As I do not raid on the MacBook, I've not included add-ons such as oRA or BigWigs though feel free to add them yourself if you need them or any other add-ons. (and before anyone asks, no, pMinimap doesn't have a configuration option, you will need to edit the add-on files to make any changes)
