[!] Disable Autoloot in the Blizzard options or the mod will not work [!]
[[ DESCRIPTION ]]
Karnifex finally got tired of looting 8 copper Fish Scales and accepted the quest to figure out how to never do it again. Thus, Karni's Crap Filter was born. It automatically loots what you want and skips what you don't want, saving bag space for good stuff like hookers and weapons. It's also a robust, full-featured and (hopefully) easy to use auto loot system!
[[ NEW STUFF! ]]
v3.2.0
- User can now selectively disable auto-destroy while using tradeskills. This is very useful
when leveling new tradeskills. This setting is on by default for new users but may be off for
users with existing SavedVariables file. Fishing is not currently included in this option.
- Added option to automatically open Crap Filter when talking to a merchant. Window should
automatically move to the correct place.
- Revamped the look of the addon to be a little more like the standard blizzard UI frames.
v3.10 saw the addition of delete confirmation on the inventory tab.
See the changelog for other improvements and fixes.
[[ WHAT IT DOES ]]
* Set a minimum value for automatically looting white and gray items
* Automatically destroy "crap" items
* Cloth: Loot what you want!
* Water: Loot all, none, or just the ones you want!
* Food: Loot all, none, or just the ones you want!
* Potions: Loot all, none, or just the ones you want!
* Scrolls: Loot all, none, or just the ones you want!
* Add items you really hate to a Never Loot list
* Add items you really like to an Always Loot list
* Automatically loots all quest items - never forget a quest item!
* Automatically loots all currency items (Emblem of Valor, Badge of Justice, etc)
* Never loot a fish scale again
* The following tradeskills are automatically looted for your pleasure:

'I downloaded the last version for use on live now.' I downloaded version 2.0.10 from the archive , since 3.0 is clearly only for PTR. There... can we stop assuming everyones a baby ? |

I'll take a look, I think someone else mentioned the price filters weren't working but I figured 3.2 would be out shortly so haven't checked it out yet. In 3.0 I fixed a problem where it wouldn't update when you changed prices, that bit is probably still broken in 2.0.10. Will it filter as expected if you reload the UI?

Karni's Crap Filter 3.0 Released!
World of Warcraft patch 3.2 is live, and that means Karni's Crap Filter 3.0 is also live! The official non-beta version has been posted, and I don't think there are any nasty bugs in it. Here's the new stuff if you haven't been playing with the betas:
Enjoy, and happy looting!

First of all, thanks for a nice addon!
However, I've had a couple of issues with it... First of all, the addon did not seem to work at all. I had to turn off the built in auto loot in the Blizzard options in order to get things going. Maybe you should state this clearly on the info page to avoid confusion. (Or maybe the addon could turn it off by itself if detected?) Also it does not seem to care about the cloth settings. By default it is set to ignore mageweave cloth and the lesser cloth types, but when I played it happily looted silk cloth without asking. That seems wrong to me? |

![]() As for the cloth, checking the cloth you want to loot acts basically as if you "whitelisted" it. But that doesn't mean the unchecked ones get automatically "crapped", if a stack of silk is worth more than the minimum value you have set it will still get looted. If you never ever want silk, you can blacklist it or set your value threshold higher. I did the options like I did to keep them a little simpler, otherwise I would have needed "always loot", "never loot" and "no preference" for each cloth and it would have gotten a little messier than I liked.

Possibly been asked before, but not in the few pages I skimmed over.
I was wondering, since I too, hate Fish Scales (and Fish Oil!) but I also have an OCD about dead bodies still sparkling; that if it would be possible to be able to loot anything that is on the blacklist, but then have it automatically destroyed after being looted? I know nothing of how to make an add-on so feel free to tell me why something like that isn't possible, if it isn't, but if you could manage it I may just take my shirt off.... ![]() |

![]() If you don't want it doing it to anything else just uncheck the price filtering. |

Ah ha, I see what I was doing wrong, Fish Scales and Fish Oil were on my blacklist but my "White Items" price scale was checked so it wouldn't loot them at all. Thanks mate!

Would it be possible to get other catagories for trade items similar to "Cloth"? Just mined some copper ore on my alt and wasn't too happy when I read "Destroying [Copper Ore]x2 because it's crap!". I've turned off this mod for now as I'm afraid that when I start smelting ores that it's gonna destroy the bars as soon as I get them, and I can't stand leaving crap on corpses (I hate shinies too).

Hahahahah! Hmm, maybe a "disable autodestroy when using a tradeskill" option or something? |

Been using the auto-destroy feature and quite like it. I had to add some things to the white list, but after that it's been golden.
I noticed a bug (imo) today though, and that's when I was leveling up my fishing, I setup the option to auto-destroy if there were 2 or fewer bag slots left. Everything was working fine, until I had a stack of 3 fish, with 2 empty slots. At this point, even though the stack would continue to grow (4 fish, 5 fish) and 2 or fewer slots were still left, KCF was still destroying the fish. Would it be possible to have it check for stack sizes before throwing it out? |
