You wanted to store an interesting item link? Or can't remember which items your bank alt has to buy for your recipe? Maybe this addon can help you.
SaveBin adds a little sizable/movable frame to your interface in which you can save all the text-based things you want to remember. You can add simple text notes as well as all types of links (item/spell/enchant/quest/player). An object in the bin can also be dragged around on your screen and link objects are fully functional like in the chat - so for example, shift+clicking will post it in the edit box and rightclick on player links will open the player's context menu. In addition you can modify font size or color of the objects.
Use Alt+Click on a link in the chat to create a SaveBin-object of it or drag a spell or item icon into the frame. The resulting object can be dragged around and when you don't need it anymore you can destroy it with Alt+Click. If you drag it onto your chat frame, it will be automatically inserted as a new line. (If you have the edit box open, it will be inserted there - but it's in an experimental phase).
Controls:
Alt+Click on chat link: Insert into bin
On object:
Hold a mouse button: Drag
Alt+Click: Destroy
Alt+Scrollwheel: Increase or decrease the info number on the right side
On SaveBin frame:
Alt+left mouse: Move frame
Alt+right mouse: Resize frame
Scrollwheel: minimize frame (down), maximize (up)
Creating objects per slash-command
'/save' or '/savetext' Text - creates an object with text "Text"
'/saveplr' or '/saveplayer' Playername - creates a player link of "playername"
You can add braces after your text to style the resulting object:
{1,1,0} colors the text yellow {r, g, b}
{20} sets the font size to 20
Additional info
SaveBin's options are available via '/savebin' or '/sb'
By default, only objects located inside the bin are stored - to change this to all objects, use '/savebin saveoutside'
Optional Modules:
- _Count: red info number shows current amount of that item in your bags.
As usual: If you have bugs or suggestions (or feedback in general), feel free to drop a comment.
