Dominos  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0.4
by: Tuller [More]

Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:

  • Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
  • Contain a relatively minimal feature set
  • Be easy to use
  • Be stable

It includes the following features:
  • 10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
  • A movable experience/reputation bar.
  • Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
  • Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show, and at what opacity.
  • Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
  • The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
  • Masque support
  • LibKeyBound support
  • Sticky frames (FlyPaper)
  • The ability to move buttons in combat
  • A movable casting bar (optional)
  • Configurable right click targeting
  • Configurable self cast key settings
  • Configurable Possess/Override/Vehicle Bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:
  • A stats bar
  • A minimap bar
  • True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:
  • To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
  • To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
  • To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
  • To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.
  • Hold down alt while moving a bar to disable sticky bars

...and this is why I wrote it:
  • I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
  • I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
  • I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.

You can use the following to add extra functionality:
  • tullaRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
  • OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
  • Masque - Allows you to change the look of buttons
  • AdiButtonAuras - Adds buff and debuff highlighting + duration text

@Swal:
You need to mess with the showstates. [@target=vehicle,exists]100;0 would do it.

@Akquiar:
Can you send me a copy of your dominos.lua file in your saved variables folder? tuller at tullamods dot com will work for an email address. What OS/WoW client are you running? Have you tried clearing your WTF folder?

Hi Tuller!
I like your addon, however I can't seem to find how to set the transparency to 100 only when I'm in a vehicle.
What I want to do basically is hiding the bar unless I'm in a vehicle.

I tried what you said and its defiantly Dominos causing the crash.

@Gadzooks:
Its been in the options menu for quite a while (Called, “Docked bars inherit opacity.”), I just switched it to be enabled by default since I was able to improve auto fading performance so much.

@Akquiar:
Simple way to check: Disable everything minus Dominos. See if you get a crash. If you do, then disable Dominos, see if you get a crash. Crashes, except in rare circumstances, don't tend to be addons, though.

@juxtapose:
I don't know of any offhand, just that one should exist.

Just recently installed dominos update and now everytime i try to play my shaman the game crashes during loading. It is dominos causing it. Is there a fix?

Think its possible to get a check box option for the linked bar opacity?

I like how bars "stick" together, allows me to stack 2 or 3 on top of each other evenly. However, Ive never wanted all the stacked bars to behave the same way. I usually make the top bar fade, leave just the bottom 2.

Trying to line up multiple bars on top of each other, especially with the "snap to" functionality, while keeping the bars unlinked, is proving to be a pain.

Maybe this explanation will help. As of 1.19.6+, I've turned on linked bar opacity by default. Linked bar opacity does the following:
* When one bar is stuck to another bar, then the stuck bar will mimic the opacity levels of the bar its stuck to.
* If a bar is stuck to a bar that has a faded opacity setting, then that bar inherits the faded opacity setting of the bar its stuck to, and both bars are treated as one for mouseover detection.

So i was fooling around with the settings more. Bar 3 is the one that wont fade out. So I tested fading on bar 1, and low and behold, any settings i changed on bar one, caused all bars to act the same. So the 3 visible bars (1-3) that were on my screen, now all faded out when i moved my mouse off of them, all in sequence as if they were all 1 in the same bar

im having the opposite problem with the new update 1.19.7b. my bars are now transparent by default and appear on mouseover even though all are set to 100% opacity, except for some reason my #6 bar it works as intended.

Bars that used to fade completely when the mouse wasnt over them, now dont do it. Fade opacity set to 0. Regular opacity set to 100.

Basically, I wanted a bar that would only show up when my mouse was over it. Worked 2 versions ago, the last 2 versions (.7 and .7b) both seemed to break this functionality. Now the bar is always visible.

@juxtapose:
You'll need another addon to do that.

@huntingguy:
Should be fixed with 1.19.7b

@DrTungg:
I'm not sure what you mean by that exactly. (Pictures might help)

@efy:
Are you running Dominos_Buffs, by chance? I discontinued that around a year or so ago in favor of Inline Aura (available on Curse)
