Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:

  • Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
  • Contain a relatively minimal feature set
  • Be easy to use
  • Be stable

It includes the following features:
  • 10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
  • A movable experience/reputation bar.
  • Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
  • Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show, and at what opacity.
  • Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
  • The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
  • Masque support
  • LibKeyBound support
  • Sticky frames (FlyPaper)
  • The ability to move buttons in combat
  • A movable casting bar (optional)
  • Configurable right click targeting
  • Configurable self cast key settings
  • Configurable Possess/Override/Vehicle Bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:
  • A stats bar
  • A minimap bar
  • True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:
  • To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
  • To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
  • To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
  • To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.
  • Hold down alt while moving a bar to disable sticky bars

...and this is why I wrote it:
  • I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
  • I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
  • I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.

You can use the following to add extra functionality:
  • tullaRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
  • OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
  • Masque - Allows you to change the look of buttons
  • AdiButtonAuras - Adds buff and debuff highlighting + duration text

Tuller, I have a minor request concerning reduced bar size (button count per bar) and the possession bar setting. When my bars have less buttons than those added by the possession mechanism, then the additional buttons simply aren't visible. Let's say each of my bars has 4 buttons and there are 6 possession buttons to be displayed, then buttons 5+6 seem completely inaccessible.

I propose that, sometime in the future, maybe you could add an option to define a button range instead of a single bar for the possession / override things (and maybe include vehicles and pet battles too).

A month later, I actually respond :P

This is one of the most annoying things about the current design of Dominos to me, probably because I keep trying to think of an elegant solution to the problem.

Get into Dominos Configuration Mode, then right click on a bar. A menu box will pop up with a drop-down menu bar at the top. It will probably say "Layout". Click on the yellow arrow and a menu will drop down. There will be a "Quick Paging" option there. Above that will probably be an option for a class, such as "Druid". If you click on THAT, there will be options to switch out your primary bar (usually Bar 1) with another bar, depending on which form you're in. You can also use the "Quick Paging" option to do the same thing. You can switch bars around however you like. Just play with them until you get them to appear however you want.

the rep that im getting for the Fishing Daily in mop or any rep to that mater is not updating when i get rep i did not know if you know about this or not.

Progress bar show Rep not XP

Is there any way to get the new progress bar to show XP gains instead of rep? I thought the deprecated one you could just click on it to change between the two views.

Bug fix for no updates.

There is a bug in the code on line 67 of main.lua inside the Dominos_Progress folder. There is an error in the UPDATE_FACTION handler. There is no argument returned for that event, but the code checks the unit to see if it is the player. That is why the Rep Bar will never update when you kill things.



All I did was comment out the offending line (add -- at the front) like below, and it works fine now:



function ProgressBarModule:UPDATE_FACTION(event, unit)
-- if unit ~= 'player' then return end

self:UpdateAllBars()
end

I noticed the problem seemed to be that the artifact bar was on top of the rep/xp bar. I just moved the artifact bar off, then disabled it. After that, the rep/xp bar worked like it always did.

Thank you for the reply. I had also noticed the 2 bars stacked before posting here. I moved them down, separated them, and even after the most recent update the bar is only showing rep with no way to switch to XP. I tried gaining XP in hopes of an autoswap, I tried clicking on it with every keyboard combination I could think of. I have a lib broker addon for rep so I don't really want this bar to show rep at all, I need an XP bar and have always liked the one in Dominos.
