Dominos  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0.4
by: Tuller [More]

Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:

  • Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
  • Contain a relatively minimal feature set
  • Be easy to use
  • Be stable

It includes the following features:
  • 10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
  • A movable experience/reputation bar.
  • Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
  • Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show, and at what opacity.
  • Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
  • The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
  • Masque support
  • LibKeyBound support
  • Sticky frames (FlyPaper)
  • The ability to move buttons in combat
  • A movable casting bar (optional)
  • Configurable right click targeting
  • Configurable self cast key settings
  • Configurable Possess/Override/Vehicle Bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:
  • A stats bar
  • A minimap bar
  • True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:
  • To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
  • To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
  • To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
  • To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.
  • Hold down alt while moving a bar to disable sticky bars

...and this is why I wrote it:
  • I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
  • I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
  • I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.

You can use the following to add extra functionality:
  • tullaRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
  • OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
  • Masque - Allows you to change the look of buttons
  • AdiButtonAuras - Adds buff and debuff highlighting + duration text

I think this been addressed before and I concur with your "less addon" ideal, however I've been using RedRange (found on this site) with great success.

I saw there was an option for quick paging in the bar options popup - is quick paging different than normal paging, somehow?

thanks in advance for the infos.
Yuo can just use the blizzard keybinding to page back. should be Shift and up or down arrow. So if you accidentally ended up on page two, you should hold down shift and hit the up arrow to get back to page one.

That's a skinner related issue. Disable mainbar skinning and you should be fine.

Adding on to my post as well- the same effect happens with my bag bar + menu bar- tested stance/pet bar doesn't seem to be effecting them- and like the previous poster stated, its lodged in the upper left corner of the screen all by its lonesome :/

I have the exact same problem. The first button of bars one and 2 are not attached. One is in the far upper left corner of by screen all by itself...I am not sure where the other one is hiding. I really like Dominos...but this problem has me searching for something else. It is just too annoying.

Clipping the first button

So I just switched over from Bongos3 to Dominos, not bad so far ;D But the one problem I seem to be running into is that my very first button gets snipped off everytime I load my UI. I have to open the configuration menu and scroll the size down to 11 and then back up to 12 and then it comes back. Oddly though the button is still bound + it doesn't throw off alignment of other bars :/

Here is a screenshot of the issue:

Re: Re: Re: Buttons Missing

Capping on WoWAce Updater has some functions to relocate the pvp scoreboard. or install Bongos3 and Cornocopia and delete all the unwanted folders; ie.ActionBars Config etc.

That worked! Thanks! BTW, do you have any plans to make some of the additional bars from Bongos available in Dominos (I particularly liked being able to move the PvP bar as the score being at the top in the middle annoyed the hell out of me)? If not, would that addon bar from Bongos work with Dominos? I doubt it would, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks again!

I test again last night, that's OK, Thank you.

Hold alt when dragging a bar to disable the sticky behaviour. This is a common request, so I'm considering adding back in an option to fully disable it.
Thanks, worked perfectly of course. No need to add an option to disable stickybars, you simply need to add a note about holding alt. I believe I went through all the documentation and never saw it mentioned, but maybe I missed it.

Those things were actually provided by Bongos Cornucopia. I don't think he's too sure what he's going to do, but the Dominos codebase isn't really setup for implementing those things.
