Auctionator  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.6.2
by: Zirco [More]

*****

Auctionator is no longer maintained here. The version here is quite out-of-date.

The most complete and up-to-date information on Auctionator can be found at:

***********************

*****

*****

Version 2.6.2

* fixed the remaining cosmetic issues with the background
* fixed a bug where the reported # of auctions created was off by 1 when cancelled part way through
* no longer resets the duration to 12 hours when switching between tabs
* when cancelling multiple auctions of the same item only a single message now appears in chat rather than one for every item

Version 2.6.0

* setting the duration works again (changes in patch 3.3.3 broke it)
* fixed the cosmetic problem with background on the sell panel (another 3.3.3 problem)
* Calls the updated API for creating multiple auctions. Hopefully will be faster and more robust.
* fixed the bug where setting an undercut value to 0 would result in a LUA error

For all other changes see:

It would require range checking to disable +/- buttons when max/min values are reached.
  2. Most items are sold in usual stacks: 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, ..., max. So it would be very useful to add dropdown combo list with these quantities, so user could choose one rather than type it manually. Of course such list should be limited to minimum value of max stack quantity and total item quantity possessed.
  3. Sometimes I've got to create multiple stacks with different item quantities. Eg. I've got 48 items, so I'd like to create: 3 stacks of 1, 1 stack of 5 and 2 stack of 20. It would be useful (but not easy to code) to create table of 3-5 entry lines for such purpose.
Gregor,

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm pretty passionate about keeping the interface simple and uncluttered. I think the feature I put into version 2.2.6 where Auctionator remembers the previous stack size that you sold goes a long way to minimizing the need to adjust the stack size in most situations and typing a number in those cases where you still do, isn't really that hard. Regarding your third suggestion, perhaps someday I'll add something along the lines of Igor's Mass Auction which would be the appropriate place to include what you're asking for.

Auctionator suggestions

Hi Zirco!

I see that recently You were remodelling interface for creating multiple auctions. Great idea, it was improvement me and my friends were waiting for!
I have some suggestions that may make this interface more user friendly:
  1. Add +/- (up/down) buttons to both numerical fields, with automatic recalculation of the other field based on total item quantity. Eg. I've got 7 items, initial values in interface are 1 stack of 7, then I click + for stacks, it changes to 2 and second value changes to INT(7/2)=3.
Best regards and wishes of continual successes with AddOn programming.

Gregor

YES! RecipeKnown is trying to colorize every row on the Browse tab, which after a full scan will take forever. I'll see if there's something I can do on my end that might let Auctionator and RecipeKnown play well together.

Thanks again,
Zirco

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me debug this.

And it you find a particular add-on that seems to be the culprit, it might not be that add-ons fault. Might just be a bad interaction between the add-ons or it could even still be something I'm doing wrong. But the information would definitely help.

What is your locale (German, French, English, etc) ?

Already deleted the WTFs
I've heard reports of this. This is the first time anyone has said that they deleted the WTFs and it still happened. You're certain you deleted the account WTF file (and its .bak) and not the per-toon WTF? If you have the time, could you delete the WTFs, disable all other mods and see if it still happens?

Also what server are you on?

Thanks,
Zirco

Yes. This is a bug. Thanks for reporting it. I'll try to get it fixed soon.

In a day or two I'll be releasing a version of Auctionator that is localization-ready, so I'm looking for volunteers to help flesh out the localization files for various languages.

If you're interested please let me know what language you can help out with.

In fact, this bug is fixed in the latest release: 2.2.6

Don't understand how scanning works. When I do scans in Auctioneer, it scans all available auctions. Auctionator just scans some auctions as it seems.

Would love to see auction and disenchant data displayed in Informant tooltip.
I ran into the same problem last week, Zirco is aware of the bug and looking into it.
