Simple Light Data Text v9.0.2
SLDataText is a lightweight addon based on text based modules, which can be moved & customized independently or globally. It includes LibSharedMedia support for expanded font selection, and various degrees of mouse click interaction on various module frames. It also supports user-created plug-ins to expand on the module selection beyond what is included in this package. Plug-ins can be as vast or as tiny as desired. Included is are custom libraries (LibSL-1.0 and LibSLTip-1.0) that are used for module configuration menu management and interactive tooltips.
Each module can be positioned independently via dragging and placement can be fined tuned via the configuration menu. Fine tuning includes manual frame anchoring, text justification, X/Y value tweaking, and frame strata value.
Each module has an independent configuration menu, and the AddOn has a global menu to handle unified font types & sizes. The following modules are contained in this package:

This addon resultet in freezes when I was crossing a new wow zone, and the zone text would show up.
This probleme was introduced with patch 4.0. Anyone else having this, or maybe a fix? Always loved SLDT. |

Currently, I have very limited time, but I will try to watch more closely to find out what exactly happened right before the error occurs, so I can give you more info.

I've been having an issue with the Clock not showing up unless I unlock/lock the entire thing, at which point it shows up and works fine. This is the error I get.

Anchoring Bug?
I'm having an issue with SLDT.
I have most of the modules in a row at the bottom of my screen and they are anchored to one another. SLDT_Framerate is anchored to UIParent. SLDT_Latency is anchored to SLDT_Framerate. SLDT_GuildList is anchored to SLDT_Latency. SLDT_FriendList is anchored to SLDT_GuildList. Et cetera. They are all achored from Bottom Right with an X Offset of 10 and a Y Offset of 6...so they all are nice and evenly spaced. When I'm in a guild, FriendList is properly spaced from GuildList. However, when I'm NOT in a guild, FriendList is doing something wacky and overlapse the guild member count (0). Bug, perhaps? |

Any chance you might add an option to disable tooltips while in combat? I know you can hide EVERYTHING while in combat, or disable tooltips altogether. But neither of those really suit what I would like to do. Thanks in advance if you do add it. =O

This may have been answered and I didn't see it, but didn't the tracking module used to actually say what was being tracked?

What change(s) would I need to make to the .lua to color everything one color (global color, class color)? More specifically I only use the guildlist, friendlist, and latency modules. I would like for the numbers to take on the same global color color as the text. I've looked through the lua files and I see the places where I'd need to make changes, but I just don't know enough about lua coding to try and change it.

Odd currencies bug
I love this addon - my minimalistic UI would be a pita to realize without this simple addon!
However, I've found a small bug - at least on my system - I've tried to reinstall it, completely remove it from the addon and wtf files etc. but nothing seems to clear the bug. In the tooltip for Currencies the addon automatically lists "Starting X" as 0, and "Current X" and "X Earned" as the actual value, increasing both numbers when gaining that type of points. I really loved the feature (that worked pre-4.0.5) of getting a quick overview of how many points you'd earned in a session. I also second the requests for tracking multiple points (or perhaps quickly switch between them by clicking - like Tracking - instead of having to go into the config?). |

Tracking Icon??
Just curious if anyone out there would know how to switch the tracking displayed icon back to the version of SLDT that appeared right after 4.0.1. I tried disabling the tracking module but the Blizz tracking icon is subpar. Any help is appreciated.

@gl0ry no there's no way to do to this atm. This might be something for the future, though i won't be able to do much scripting the next days, as i'm getting a new computer . But coloring the values or coloring each module differently is another thing which currently is not possible, as well as allowing more heavy or lighter outlines |

I'm a big fan of this addon and just wanted to ask if there's a way to enable font outlines on only certain modules instead of using the global font outline.
If there isn't a way, could you implement this feature in the future? Thanks! |
