Xparky  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2.2
by: Wobin [More]

If any of you has ever seen FuBar_FuXPFu, then Xparky is it's replacement.

FuXP had the unfortunate limitation that it could only attach to a fubar, and often had refreshing issues, so instead of continuing to support that addon, I decided to write a standalone that would not have such limitations.

For those who haven't seen it before, Xparky is simply a very basic, very shiny XP/Rep bar that can be attached to any named frame available. As can be seen from the images, you can attach it to any side of any frame, and even set an offset so that the bars float off the frames.

All colours are configurable, and it works off the Watched Reputation, so if any other addon modifies that, it will update Xparky alongside it.

Use '/xparky' to pull up the configuration, and have fun!

To come:

Pet Bars
Separate Profiles
Separate Bar allocation/order

Version 1.2.2 - TOC push for WoW 3.1

Version 1.2.1 - My mistake, I forgot to add LibStub to the libraries. This will hopefully fix any standalone loading issues.

My bad, I was installing a new addon on the WAU after I installed Xparky and it updated on me.

Thanks.

I'll reiterate what Shpick mentioned.

The wowace version is not stable, or working. The only working version is in tags, and here.

Could you open the .lua file and quote me the line that's having the issue and the surrounding ones also?

@Portalius
Wowaceupdater updates addons from SVN. The version there is not currently in a stable form. Actually, it's not working at all since the author is not done with revamping the addon :P
I suggest checking off Xparky not to update from SVN for now and wait for some time until a working version gets uploaded.

I'm having a really annoying problem with this REALLY great addon.

I dl it from this site, install and everything works as it should. then the day after I use my wowaceupdater, as I always do, and see that xparky's version is "n/a". So when I mark all addons and select update, it ofcause updates xparky aswell.

Problem is, that when I start the game after a wowaceupdate xparky is no longer working at all... the only thing that shows is the legoblock thing, but with no info in it.

So my question is. is this a "real" ace addon and if so, can it be fixed, so that you will be able to use wowaceupdater to keep it up-to-date??

One more thing also. Was woundering if you in the future are considering implanting a right-click menu like the one in fuxpfu, and ofcause be able to save profiles. as it is now, everytime I'm on my main, I need to switch off xpcount and turn on rep using the slash command /xparky.

And if I want to change what fraction I'm tracking I need to go all the way through the menu once more.

Then when I later on change back to one of my lvling alts, I need to go to the menu once more to switch off rep, and turn on xp.

I can't imagine that I'm the only one here who wish for a change in this?

anyway, that you for your time, and I will look forward to see an even better version of the most exelent addon soon

Thank you very much. This is a very nice mod. I was pretty sure a library was missing but was unsure which one was in bugsack and not in this. Thanks for fixing that.

After doing a WowAceUpdater-update of my Ace-Addons and installing your new Version of Xparky, everythings works fine for me again. I can't say which update fixed the issue, though.

No, no dependancies, it's all self-contained, and should run fine. Are you sure you have the files in the correct folders? If so, you might want to grab an error recording addon like BugSack ( http://www.wowinterface.com/download...5-BugSack.html ) to see if any errors are occurring on load.
Interesting. As soon as I loaded Bugsack, your mod worked. As well, when I removed Bugsack it stopped working.

Since yesterday? In that it was working before? Cause I haven't updated anything in the last week.

Great addon, I have been using FuXPFu for a long time now and when I saw this i got pretty excited. But, as my luck would have it as soon as I loaded up my bugsack started yelling at me.

I'll add in the option to hide the default bars with an upcoming update
