Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

Re: After exiting any BG, I always get this error...

Another known issue with version 2.0 beta. It's related to the other issues posted.

On another note. I had it fixed but the new curse addon updater overwrote all the files with version 1.9a with it installed. Didn't ask to overwrite or anything. So I'm a little behind where I was. So hopefully I should have another version of MBF posted soon.

Yeah I apparently removed a couple of lines of code that were supposed to protect from that error I'll have it fixed soon and post an updated version.

And I'll include the skinning.txt with the new version.

Apparently it got deleted by accident at some point. It basically said.

for each skin you can use the function

MBFAddSkin( "NAME", "BorderPath" , "BackdropPath", size)

And size has always been 35 for me.

Edit: Yes, the wipe of options was intentional. With all the new options I had to make sure everything was clean. I also removed a couple hidden options and so I just wiped it to make things easier. It should only do it the one time.

saved variables

updating to the new version seems to have wiped all my options clean upon login. was that intentional?

also seeing the error biggoo got, for me the atlas button was displaying in MBF, even though I had it hidden in the atlas options. re-toggling it off caused the error to happen.

Okay I've seen that error before and I thought I fixed it. I'll look into it some more to see if I can figure out how to reproduce it again.

Yeah this is not compatable with the beta yet. There are several changes that have to be made. I have a seperate beta compatible version. The main issues with it right now is the fact that they changed the way fonts are handled on buttons. So no text shows up on the roll up button and for some reason the rollup doesn't work properly. Otherwise I believe it's working.

To get it working with the beta quickly just delete lines 260-264. There are some other changes but that should stop the error.

I can't seem to reproduce this error but it may be something I fixed in the course of updating the addon. I'll post the newest version soon. Probably a lot of bugs in it that I've missed. Lots of new stuff.

Version 2.0

Added - Modular Minimap Button skins (Square minimap buttons) (See Skinning.txt for more information)
Added - Korean localization
Added - Russian localization
Fixed - Issue with storage rows not being removed when a button was removed
Fixed - Issues with DuckieBank, pMinimap, and CallToArms

I still wanted to add the ability to save variables for the entire account instead of just per character. I just haven't gotten around to it.

movie recording

Heyas,

I was wondering if it'd be possible to add the Mac movie recording button to the MBF as well, it doesn't seem to get auto-collected.
