Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

I just started using your mod and love it.

I am wondering if its possible snap the anchor from one frame to another, similar to how you can do it in ElkBuffBars.

Nope, SBF completely and totally disables the default buff frames. I'm not at all interested in adding another addon to the pile I already maintain (including three that are guild only that are not on this site)

Using the warnings

I used to use SBF, but lately I've found that I like the default Blizz buff frames, as they do what I need. I'm really missing the expiry warnings module of SBF though, and I can't find anything that handles buff warnings like SBF does. I was wondering if there was anyway to disable the other parts of SBF and just use the warnings. If not, is there any chance of you adding an option to do so, or maybe making the expiry warnings a separate optional module?

With that said, the 3.1 patch will allow me to figure out which buffs are your pet/vehicle's. SBF 3.2 will take advantage of that.

Cerbul - Oculus and Malygos stacks are a common request, but the problem is that while the debuffs you cast on an opponent are flagged as "mine", debuffs cast by your vehicle on an opponent are not. If you were to look at all of the addons that track such things, they read the combat log to determine which stack belongs to who. I use MalygosHelper for tracking that when fighting Malygos. Dunno if there is an addon for Oculus, but I expect so.

Yonnodie - SBF 3.1 will release this week, fixing both of those.

When I try and align the buffs to the right as shown in the screen, if I reduce the rows to 1 row the alignment always goes back to left aligned, regardless of what the option is set to. It works fine with 2 or more rows though.

NVM:
I just remembered another issue I noticed; I'm having an issue with the latest build not applying my button-facade outline to all buffs. Here is a screenshot. As you can see, inner fire and fade are using the default blizz border. It seems to be fine when I switch my outline in button facade to a different border then back, but after a while new buffs start showing up with the default outline.

Edit: nvm part 2...I see that it is a known issue.

occulus request

Is there any way to highlight the debuffs my drake in occulus is making on the boss? Or is it impossible to do that? Is the main idea of that boss to not know who are your drake's debuffs?
Please help with this.
Thank You

That would be really nice. Not needed, but a convience for sure.

If you could tell me where in the .lua that the timers are, i could probably edit it now to suit my needs. I'm fairly decent with .lua

Been looking for it, but no where to be found lol

You can do 60 seconds right now. I can easily throw 45/30/15 seconds into 3.1 before I release it

Buff Timers + Filters

Amazing mod, been using it forever.

I'm looking to customize my existing setup a bit. What I'm looking for, is a way to not show buff timers with greater than ~15 seconds remaining.

So in essence, buffs with ~20 minutes left on them wont have timers, but when it gets to 15 seconds remaining, the timer will show up.

Is this possible, with or without filters. I'll try and figure out filters if it is.

Thanks Satrina, and again great mod!

- cheers

Seeing a problem with my target debuffs frame...

Edit: Mostly corrected for my stupidity, with a few things still nagging. Thus far, parenting the target debuffs from a child dummy bar to flow onto the actual one is working fine. Rupture shows without a hitch, as well as other applied debuffs.

Edit: Putting the Deadly Poison in its own frame, then making the target debuff frame its parent makes the poison debuff show up, but then the temporary weapon enchant shows up under target debuffs. Is there a way to distinguish between them? The only workaround I can see at the moment is limiting the size of the parent frame to 1, since that debuff should always be up and will push the temporary enchant back to the child.

Thrusting Hodir's Spear Debuff

I've been using this addon for a day or two now and I really like it. I have a very simple setup and I was wondering how I can track the debuff from the Thrusting Hodir's Spear daily quest.

Here is my setup:

Buff Frame 1 - All buffs (scale is set fairly small)
Buff Frame 2 - All buffs, setup to flow down from Buff Frame 1
Buff Frame 3 - Setup to track specific spells so they are much more visible (layout scale is set to max)
Buff Frame 4 - Setup to flow down from Buff Frame 3

I want to track the Grip debuff and put it on Buff Frame 3. Is this possible without writing a filter?

I'd also like to track the Thaddius (Negative / Positive) charge this way.

[Edit: Cleared Naxx last night, so I found the defuffs for Thaddius and other Naxx fights. I'm still looking for a way to track the debuff from Thrusting Hodir's Spear daily quest.]
