SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years
SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs

So I'm trying to setup a filter, and I swear I have it right, but it just doesn't want to go. Basically I want to see Battle Shout when it reaches less than 20 seconds.. So I created a new frame, set it to whitelist/buffs, filter:
n=Battle Shout&my&d<20 if I do n=Battle Shout&my&D<5, it will show everytime. Am I misunderstanding the use of these? Tried the repair thing with no luck, I was flowing it through to my debuffs as well, but I turned that off just for testing. Any help would be appreciated, great add-on btw. |

Hi, Im trying to use SBF to watch deadly poison counts on the default ui. I put the bar over the targets name and everything seems fine, but as soon as I select a new target, it gets "behind" the target frame, thus becoming invisible.
Anyway to solve that, so SBF icons are always shown? Thx. |

Im having trouble with the player and npc filters.
It may be that im misunderstanding something but after testing around with it, it seems like the player filter is doing nothing, while the npc one is filtering player and npc effects. This is since the 4.0.3 patch but I only installed the addon recently so it may be I just didnt notice it before. Tried reseting settings / deleting wtf / updating to the beta version but it had no effect. |

The SBF 3.2 beta has click-to-remove-buff in it, it just hasn't been merged into the main project yet.

Okay either I missed it completely in the filters page or this may be an actual suggestion. If it is already implemented forgive me for being an idiot.
So I was wondering if it would be possible to add a new "count" filter for buffs. ie: Only show the buff when it has equal to, less, or more (any operator would do) of a certain count. So to show an example in-game: I play a shaman. I only want to use Fulmination when my Lightning Shield has a total of 9 stacks. So therefore I would like a big Lightning Shield buff to show up on my screen when it reaches 7 plus stacks. Yes, I already have a single Lightning Shield buff on my screen with the counts on it but I was wondering if my above scenario would be plausible. I haven't played a whole lot with your mod (an so I'm not sure if you can stack commands on a single filter but in my mind it would be something similar to this: n=Lightning Shield&my&count>=7 Note: Also sent an e-mail to [email protected] about the same thing. |

It's less that it is "intended" and more that when you set a frame to clickthrough, you then have no way of knowing if the mouse is even over a given frame because the game completely ignores mouse the fact that the mouse may be over the frame. It's very much an all or nothing proposition.
As for the bar thing, enable mouse on the buff names that you almost certainly have overlaid on the bars (that's a temporary workaround; next update should fix that better) Spells tab is also fixed in the next update |

Having the same issues with the tooltips (clickthrough removes all tooltips). This might be intended though.
In addition, with clickthrough disabled, on all my buff bars the tooltips only appear when mousing over a tiny area of the bar just to the left or right of the icon (depending on bar orientation). This is also the only clickable area. This only affects the bars, the show tooltip toggle for icons works correctly. Disable right click however, does not (still shows the addon blocked message when right clicking the icons). I also can't get the settings from the spells tab (in particular the always warn checkbox) to save.

Feature request
Searched through the comments and found out that you can't click-through and show tooltip at the same time.
Maybe a workaround to use "alt" or some other custom key to disable "click-through" while pushing it? Or is that possible while incombat? I play with my debuffs close to center, so that I never miss them, and currently they are the only ones preventing movement/look from mouse. I could just put them "click-through", but then when there's new debuffs or I forgot what the old ones looked like, I would like to know what they are. Did this click-through + tooltip go away just recently? For some reason I don't remember how it was with "buffalo", but when I was forced to swap away from it as it didn't work anymore, I almost instantly noticed that I couldn't click-through with tooltip as annoying. I'm not 100% sure with buffalo, as it's been wiped from curse and it doesn't work currently. I looked through the code, but didn't see anything special. Maybe I was just too lucky not to hit the debuffs while using it for almost 2 years : )

Hey, thanks for the donation! Much appreciated towards keeping the SBF site going for people to use.
The beta of SBF 3.2 with click-off buffs should get merged into this project next week |
