Titan - Itemized Deductions 2  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.2
by: Blueleaf [More]

** Installation Note: Please delete your TPID directory before installing v2.9 or above**

Info
----
Originally this mod was written by Tekkub and fixed by shadoweos(AKA Blueleaf) to work with patch 1.10 . But with patch 2.0 and BC it has been totally rebuild from scratch, Rowaasr13 has stepped in as the main programmer/coder.

I myself hate the 'I can't carry any more' message, I also hated looking at everything I had in my bags to decide what was best to drop. Well if you hate it too! THIS IS YOUR ANSWER!!

'''Description'''
----
This addon helps you to manage free space in your bags. If you ever searched through your inventory to find cheap junk to drop in favor of new loot or tired of manually stacking items that would take much less space, you will instantly understand how you can benefit from Itemized Deductions, because it does it all for you automatically.

Features:
- List of items in your bags sorted by price, allowing you to drop cheapest item or sell it if you happen to talk to vendor at the moment.
- Titan Panel integration: cheapest item and, optionally, its price and total price of all items matching your filter will be displayed on Titan Panel. Howering over will show you full list of items, sorted by price, while right-clicking on it will give you access to most of Itemized Deductions' functions.
- Filters to specify what items you want to consider for drop/sale: you can filter items by quality, item type (quest, consumable, etc), or soulbound status.
- Custom prices: you can set any item to use price other than vendor sell price. Right now Auctioneer buyout price is only option, but any number of those can be added on request.
- Mass selling options: with just a single click you can sell to vendor either all the poor quality items or all items that match your filter.
- Stacks combining: you can automatically combine all incomplete stacks of same items either in bags or in bank.
- Mass mailbox operation: a command available to get mass quantites of same item from your mailbox automatically. Additionally, if those items can be stacked, they'll be automatically stacked together. Just try it after you get back dozens of expired enchanting reagents from autction.

Interface:
- Titan Panel:
Most of the functions and options are available from Titan Panel Itemized Deductions' button right-click menu. Some of those options only appear when necessary: for example selling commands only show when you're talking to vendor. Additionally you can click on Itemized Deductions to open all your bags, shift-click do destroy or sell cheapest item, alt-click to ignore cheapest item for this session and alt-doubleclick to ignore it completely.
- Slash commands:
All slash commads start with /itemded, /tpid, or /tid - all those are just aliases and do exactly the same.
* alwaysdrop (alias: ad) / alwaysignore (alias: ai): add or remove item from 'always drop' or 'always ignore list'. This command is followed by word 'add' for adding and 'del' or 'remove' or 'delete' for removing for list, with item link or ID comming last. For example this command will make Ice Cold Milk always droppable, even if you've selected to drop only poor items or filtered consumables: /itemded ad add [Ice Cold Milk]. As another command this command will remove previously ignored Tough Hunk of Bread from list using its ID: /tid ai del 4540.
* combine (aliases: combineall, combineallinv, combineinv) - combines all incomplete stacks in your bags, just like same function in menu.
* combinebank (alias: combineallbank) - combines all incomplete stacks in your bank, just like same function in menu. Does nothing if you don't have bank window open, obviously.
* getmail [ItemLink] (alias: gm) - retrieves all the selected items from mailbox, stacking them together in process. Does nothing if you don't have mailbox window open. In addition to item links you can also use item IDs if you want to put this command in macro or if you're just good at remembering them, as this can save your from finding item link every time. This command, for example, will pull all the Strange Dust out of your mailbox: /itemded gm 10940

If you are using Auctioneer advanced it no longer finds the auction price when you select use buyout, I am looking into this and hope to find a solution soon,

Cool LOL its all cool

I don't think we meant to stir up a mess! I understand where you are coming from with the "fan Update" "Continued" ect. they are normally just a fix on the original that may or maynot be no longer supported by an author. In fact when I first fixed your version and posted it I named it "Updated", but with the rewrite we decided on the "ReBorn" as it was the rebirth of an old idea into a new form and in that the name was appropriate and did not want to totally change the name as the mod already had a large following of users.

Now that I think we have had our venting LOL. I would like so say hello, it is nice to talk with you and hope that it would be ok to contact you in the future as I am not the best of Lua programmers as of yet but I am learning, and could really use the advise of one with more experience from time to time. I also have to say that your original mod was a life saver, but I am a hard core Titan fan and was lost when it went fubar LOL. And as far as credit is concerned I feel it is only right to identify the people that put work into something.

As for everyone else that is reading this please ignore the rantings of us WOW eggheads ad download and enjoy the mod.

Domo.

Not trying to be a dick (it just comes naturally)... I just want to stab people that do the "continued" stuff with names. Felt that, since it was a derivative of my addon, I could pipe up in this case.

And no credit is due anywhere, my addons are 100% open, always have been, always will be. Only requirement is that you put up with my ass if you use my code.

ok

Ya know I really didn't intend to get into a pissing contest over a name, I have given all credit where credit is due, when you dropped the mod prior to 1.11 and went to fubar I picked it up fixed a few lines of code and kept the name adding the reborn. When 2.0 BC came out it totally broke it, the code that it has now was total rewritten by me and Rowaasr making the mod also dependent on ItemdataCache and Informant. We felt no need to change the name trying to give credit to you for the original idea for the plugin. This has been posted on Curse, and UI for over a year now, I never expected that by posting it here would I get a complaint about the name when the mod has been out there for over a year now under the name reborn and has been downloaded for over 5000 times now. I apologize if I have offended you by the name or anything I have said it was not my intent. I would like to thank you for the original mod it was very nice and I have used it for a long time until it broke and you no longer supported it so I picked up and fixed it until 2.0 and then Rowaasr stepped in as main coder on the 2.0 project and rewrote it. Feel free to look at the code if you wish. It has been very popular and I really don't see a need do change the name but for this post I have changed the title to a 2 if it makes you feel better

"Totally rewritten" to me means it's a new mod, it gets a new name. You've taken it as your own, now stake your claim by giving it your own name!

The "reborn" "continued" "fixed" "fan update" crap gets confusing for everyone. Which works? Which is actively supported? Which ones were a one-time fix? Is it the old one with tweaks, or a major rewrite? Don't perpetuate that confusion more. Come up with a name, even if it's only an adaptation of the one... Hell tag a damn "2" onto it would probably be adequate for me, if it really is a rewrite :P

name

to answer that, it was required to change the name to post the mod on other boards (i.e. Curse) due to the fact that another mod of the same name existed. Thank you for the original idea it helped us alot. I think you will find though that pretty much all the original codeing is gone and it was totally rewritten earning the title of reborn

I'm happy to see people continue to adopt my addons and update them.... but I HATE this "reborn" crap. If you adopt the thing, give it a new name, don't just tag crap onto the old name.
