OnScreenHealth  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 5.3.0.1
by: Dridzt, Phanx

OnScreenHealth

OnScreenHealth provides simple text displays of health and power for you, your vehicle, your pet, and your target.

It additionally shows your combat state, combo points on your target, your target’s target’s name, and your class’s secondary resource (such as Holy Power).

Type “/osh” to open the options panel, or browse to it in the standard Interface Options window.

Not completed

  • Localization (you can help by visiting the link and submitting translations for your language)
Changes
  • WoW API updates for MoP (GetSpecialization etc)
  • Support for all secondary resources.
combo points, runes, chi, eclipse, holy power, shadow orbs, soul shards|burning embers|demonic fury
  • Support for ClassColors.
  • Switch from event based processing to update based processing, with adjustable throttle.
Some optimization pending but (a) with Blizzard's move to predictive hp / power updates,
events don't fire half as often as needed for smooth updates (b) some resources don't fire UNIT_POWER
or other power related events at all (eclipse, soul shards|embers|fury, shadow orbs etc)

/osh position x 200

Either experiment with different numbers until you find one you're happy with, or install something that translates Ace2 options tables into GUI configs, such as Niagara, to get a slider bar for adjusting this setting.

The unit frames in the screenshot were PitBull, which I no longer use due to it being a bloated monster and not having anyone actually maintaining it. I now use oUF with a custom layout.

The parts of the screenshots that aren't created by this addon are intentionally blurred and dimmed, because they are absolutely irrelevant, and are included only for context. The only parts of the screenshots that matter (i.e. the addon) aren't blurry.

From the addon description (bold added for emphasis):
Please note that OnScreenHealth is intended to be very minimalistic in nature, and show only vital information. It is not intended to be a unit frame replacement, or a full HUD. In keeping with this intent, OnScreenHealth will never include unit names (other than the ToT), levels, classes, creature types, classifications, buffs, debuffs, or spell casts.

Yes, that might help. >_>

I've been so busy working on a 2.0 version of this, plus a 2.0 version of my other addon ShieldsUp, plus a new version of my oUF layout, and probably some other things I'm forgetting about, and generally getting about three hours of sleep a night. I'll post an update here momentarily.

Edit: Fixed.

Edit: This error is now fixed, and OnScreenHealth should be fully functional for death knights. [/b]
You need to handle new events

tip:
Code:
if not self:IsEventRegistered("UNIT_RUNIC_POWER") then
	self:RegisterEvent("UNIT_RUNIC_POWER", "UpdatePower")
end
if not self:IsEventRegistered("UNIT_MAXRUNIC_POWER") then
	self:RegisterEvent("UNIT_MAXRUNIC_POWER", "UpdatePower")
end
and similar for unregistering

This error is caused by a bug in OnScreenHealth. When updating the power text, it looks to see what color it should make the text; since I hadn't yet added a special color for runic power, it tried to find the "default" color, but it looks like I forgot to actually add a "default" color. Both issues will be fixed as soon as I get through the 1200+ queue to log on and test a fix.

Edit: This error is now fixed, and OnScreenHealth should be fully functional for death knights.
