oGlow will light up your items, by adding a quality border to them. It will only display this border for common quality items and above.

It will currently only display the quality borders on the following places:
* Inventory
* Inspect
* Bank
* Guild bank
* Bags
* Mail
* Merchant
* Trade
* Professions
* Character fly-out
* Character
* Loot
* Void storage

I will make it support some other frames also, but this is it for now.

Having poor color vision, I find what Blizz has done a bit too subtle.
And the ability to change the colors is HUGE for me.

I enabled oGlow, and have not run into any problems.

Agreed, add my vote / request for keeping oGlow alive and up-to-date!

Right now the default UI implements quality glowing on "most" parts of what oGlow supported. I did a quick check and it seems to only skip merchant, mail and tradeskills. There's a couple of things I did not get to check like loot, bank and guild bank however. Right now it depends on what people want I guess. __________________ 「貴方は１人じゃないよ」

It basically has to ask the server for item information when you open the void storage, so oGlow doesn't have the information yet when it runs. I found a little strange thing about this addon: oGlow does not glow items stored in the void storage when the first time I open my void storage. This scenario only happened at the real first time, it means that oGlow works right with void storage after I reload the UI (but I had to open the void storage once before I reload). It doesnt a big matter but could you please do sth with it? Thank you!

I got this addon as part of the MayronUI pack - I've never installed or used another glow effect addon before - so this really has me stumped. The glow effect only shows up on the character pane and it's exceptionally bright.

Sounds like its something else doing if it only shows up on the character pane. Especially since you mention oGlow doesn't show up in the addon list.

What happens if you disable all add-ons? If it goes away, then try enabling half of your add-ons and check again. If it comes back, then disable half of those again and check again. After a couple of rounds you should have nailed it down to whatever creates the effect.

OK, you're dead right - I finally worked out which addon was causing it and it's not oGlow. It turns out that it is in fact the latest version of oQueue from Solidice.
Quite why it's causing it, I have no idea since the addon (supposedly) has nothing to do with character icons. Anyway, thanks a million for your patience and understanding in helping me work out where the problem was
