oGlow  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.2.5
by: haste [More]

oGlow will light up your items, by adding a quality border to them. It will only display this border for common quality items and above.

It will currently only display the quality borders on the following places:
* Inventory
* Inspect
* Bank
* Guild bank
* Bags
* Mail
* Merchant
* Trade
* Professions
* Character fly-out
* Character
* Loot
* Void storage

I will make it support some other frames also, but this is it for now.

The issue should be fixed with 2.2.1. Thanks for reporting .

Evening!

This is one of very few addons I use while playing World of Warcraft; it's simple, smart and very useful!

For my first time I tried playing as a druid, but encountered a problem whilst having this addon activated (patch 4.3.3).

When I enter catform and starting to prowl, there's an extra "bar" at the bottom covering Blizzard UI. This phenomena keeps repeating once I've entered prowl/stealth mode as a cat.

Any ideas why this is? And more importantly, how to remedy the "issue", if such?

Thanks for a great addon!

Could you provide a screenshot of the bar? oGlow doesn't really create anything other than border textures, so it sounds fairly odd.

You might be able to get the name of it by doing `/fstack` and hovering the bar.

I asked a friend of mine to do a quick check on his druid and he couldn't reproduce anything with and without a custom action bar add-on enabled.

That's the vehicle bar, by the looks of it. Which is fairly surprising as I mainly add things to the default UI and don't override. Here's another round of questions so we can figure this out.

Are you certain oGlow is the source of the issue? If it is, what version of oGlow are you using?
Does it happen out of combat as well? If you reload your UI or log in, does it happen as soon as you prowl after login or does `randomly` happen after a while?
Could you try disabling various pipes in oGlow to see if it fixes the issue? You might have to reload[1] your UI between to verify.
What other add-ons are you currently using?
Does it happen with just oGlow enabled and nothing else?

[1] You can do this by typing: /run ReloadUI()

Actually, I'm not certain it oGlow when you mention a vehicle UI, but here's the addons I'm currently using besides oGlow.

- Atlasloot Enchanced
- Deadly Boss Mod
- BadBoy
- Recount

I tried the new version mentioned here in the thread, with the fix noted below, and it seems to work...most of the times.

I'm not sure which version you are referring to. The main version here on WoWI should work fine without any changes. The problem mentioned by Dridzt was fixed two version ago or so.

I would recommend you to try recreating the issue without oGlow enabled. If it still happens, then one of the other add-ons are doing something they shouldn't.

Hi,
I really like your addon, but when I installed it the colors everywhere were a bit overwhelming. I went in the .lua and lowered the alpha of the border, so it's nice now.
Is there a chance you could add that as an option in-game ? Even just a command line would be easier than editing the lua.

hi haste,

like most (if not all) people here, i really like your add-on. but i was wondering if there is an option to disable quality borders for quest items and if not, if you/sb could tell me how to disable them manually?

thanks in advance!

Open oGlow\pipes\char.lua and remove this text as-is from below (it appears in line 11):
Code:
 "Ranged",
Explanation: since they removed ranged slot, this errors when it tried to skin it.

This also must be done for the oGlow\pipes\inspect.lua as well.

I was having an error on the flyout portion of the equipment manager. It was in char-flyout.lua I temporarily resolved this by commenting out (--) lines 43 and 44.
