TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

The problem is already 'fixable' without 0 changes to TomTom. Many addons already do this just fine =)

Speaking of waypoints, POI integration and so forth... I just recalled a conversation (rather, a mention of possibility) about reworking TomTom into two addons. And it hit my mind that I've had an issue with TomTom that would be interesting for you to hear about.
The issue arising, when you have TomTom set to clear waypoints upon arrival. While with TomTom own waypoints, when you set one, you most likely want to reach it and forget about it, when different addon setting one through TomTom API, it's not that apparent. To support this with example, get the QuestHelper as the waypoint manager. If waypoint is set to a hunting ground, where you would kinn a number of mobs, possible crossing the spot, where waypoint is set, multiple times, you don't really want it to clear, until you've finished hunting. If for solution... I was unable to find pointers to API documentation, so can't really suggest anything. |

I've just posted a beta version of TomTom that is a pretty significant fix of many issues you may have been experiencing. The innards have been ripped completely out and replaced with a system that works properly with the new mapping API. This means waypoints in instances and other maps should work just fine.
There may be some bugs, please capture them and report them to me so I can get it fixed. If I go a few days without hearing anything, I'll push this live. Your waypoints WILL reset. Sorry, but if absolutely necessary I can put in a way to convert your old waypoints, I would just rather avoid it. The new beta version is v40000-1.1.0-beta and can be found on the 'Beta' tab at the top of the addon page.

Fixed
I noticed this morning that I could not get to any interface option as they were off screen, so I did a complete reload after deleting cache, wtf and interface. Now all is getting back to normal, will take me several days to get things back completely, but it is much better.
I guess that my entire interface was fubared, but did not show any issues.

I'm really not sure what to tell you.
/run TomTomCrazyArrow:ClearAllPoints(); TomTomCrazyArrow:SetPoint("CENTER", UIParent, "CENTER", 0, 0); TomTomCrazyArrow:Show() It may not show.. but should then be positioned in the very center of your screen for when you set a waypoint.

Astrolabe error
I've been getting this error on entering World on one toon. I have disabled all other add-ons without effect. I looked on curseforge but didn't see a ticket that seemed to address this. It does not seem to affect subsequent play so it's not exactly a priority issue.

cannot display waypoint
I have been using TomTom for a good while, but today I cannot get the arrow to display. I had no issue last night as I was using it for my dailies.
The steps I have taken to find the issue: 1. tried using reset waypoint with no change 2. logged into the toon I used last night and found no arrow and tried again with reset arrow 3. cleared all the configs and restarted 4. deleted all tomtom traces in my wow folder and downloaded a new copy 5. on restarting chacked and all but the arrow are working

That's how you set a waypoint. You run the slash command /way 50 50.
The arrow will not show up unless you are tracking something, on either version. In TomTomLite, that means you need to track quests in your objectives tracker and be in the zone where the objectives are. Basically, you need to have a circle with a 1 next to one of the objectives.

And what is the "/way 50 50" mean? And can you tell me HOW to set a waypoint? Sorry I am not getting this, but I have had this addon in the past and not had this problem... |

Have you set a waypoint? The arrow does not show unless you set a waypoint.
/way 50 50 If you're just looking for an addon to help point you towards your quest objectives, I suggest you download TomTomLite instead.
