TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

just curious, but i used (I thought) to be able to click on a quest objective in the wow ui and have that set the tomtom crazy arrow. at the moment, the only way to load the arrow with a quest objective is to accept a quest. you cannot, apparently, cause the arrow to set to any given quest but only the last one accepted. is this planned behavior or am i missing something?

I am not sure if it is Tom Tom or other addons but I have noticed that when using some addons (Not the / command of TT) like Archy or Wow Pro the arrow will point in a totally opposite direction. The map way point will be in the right place but the arrow will sometimes point in the opposite direction. Also in Jade Forest instances it claims its Timeless isle. No errors are shown just the arrow points in a totally wronmg direction. Is there a setting I need to change? I uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the latest version but still same issue.

Zone waypoints
Hi, this command does not always appear to work right:
/way Zone xx xx For example this does not seem to work: /way Orgrimmar 45 50 Many others do not work either. Is this currently a known issue? Is this going to get fixed? |

Re: points me the wrong direction
I think my problem may be with GatherMate2, not sure. I tried erasing my GM2 database today and doing
some archaeology. Using the context menu after I had created a node in GatherMate2, I got a node with the right coordinates but the in the wrong zone - the node was in Feralas but the WP was set to the same coordinates in Mulgore. TomTom functions normally any other way I use it, so I think that GatherMate2 is not passing data to it correctly. I put in a ticket on wowace for GatherMate2, we'll see what happens. Cladhaire, thanks for all of your great work! bkp57

This is a gorgeous addon. Thank you for fixing the errors.
The latest update the arrows disappear as soon as my waypoint is in the next zone. |

v60000-1.0.1 does not seem to let me set a waypoint from map
i can set them using the /way command but i have been unable to set them using either the default map or mapster. is there a special set of commands or keystrokes to get this to work after your fix?
I downloaded the latest version after seeing this "New version uploaded with attempted fixes for: Place waypoints on world map by right-clicking Fix placement of player/cursor coordinates on worlld map Fix a Lua error in TomTom_POIIntegration.lua" |

For those that want to see the coords on their worldmap I've made a little fix until the author gets a chance.
Edit tomtom.lua Change lines 335 - 341 to: if mapSizedUp then TomTomWorldFrame.Player:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", WorldMapTitleButton, "TOPRIGHT", 0, -8) TomTomWorldFrame.Cursor:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", WorldMapTitleButton, "TOPRIGHT", 0, -16) else TomTomWorldFrame.Player:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", WorldMapTitleButton, "TOPRIGHT", -150, -8) TomTomWorldFrame.Cursor:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", WorldMapTitleButton, "TOPRIGHT", -40, -8) end |
