TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Is it possible to make a list of waypoints to follow? I mean, so it removes waypoint 1 when you reach it, and shows waypoint 2. Would like to make routes like that when farming herbs, as I always spend all my time looking at the world map for directions.

Using the 0.2 version, the arrows of waypoints aren't placed properly around the minimap..
Is that only happening to me, or is anyone else getting that? http://i19.tinypic.com/2em3408.jpg is a screenshot of what I'm talking about.. I created waypoints all around the map with /way 0 0 /way 0 10 /way 0 20 etc.. right around that map

I've seen two other people have this issue, but I can't reproduce it, so figuring out how to fix it has been extremely difficult. I'll do what I can to get to the bottom of it.

I've tried it without any other addons running, and resetting the interface (by renaming the WTF folder).. same result. I even tried it on a different continent/zone, in case there was a problem with outlands.
The problem only occurs for the waypoints that are outside the minimap. (ie for the blue arrows). The green dot waypoints are correctly placed. Let me know if there is any other info that I can provide to help you track this down. |

TomTom frame obscuring backpack frames
Hi Claidhaire,
Is there any way to set it so that TomTom is the backmost frame? Or at least behind the Backpack frames? I like to position the TomTom frame just below the minimap. Unfortunately when I open my backpacks, it obscures a good chunk of the 3rd backpack which makes clicking on a couple of those items a real pain. Thx for this mod! Best map coord mod I've found so far. K |

Re: Re: interesting thing
Would Tomtom be doing that or think its Cartographer conflicting with something else? Thanks, I love your work! |

Not a huge deal since this is just a boundary case anyway but: Using /way reset when no waypoints are set causes an error.

feature request
Is it possible (not sure if I should ask here, or under "Lightheaded") to add coordinates for Quest givers?
I don't know how many other addons do it, but when I used Quest_Fu, it showed me the coordinates for the quest givers, making it easy for turn ins. Iriel also wrote a Quest log enchancer called "DoubleWide", which I enjoy a lot, but it didn't have the quest giver coordinates either. Maybe I should ask Iriel, too. But if you can add it to your addons, and/or suggest another addon that does it, that would be greatly apprciated. Regards. |

Re: Re: feature request
The quest giver coordinate would be awesome, if you have time to implement it. The ideal case would be that when I accept the new Quest, TomTom would mark both the quest giver location, and if I have lightheaded (or manually found coordinates), I can draw waypoints right away. On a side note, a map addon that I use called "MetaMap" also provides a waypoint system. I create a node using MapNote (on the large map), and enable waypoint to that node, and it will give me a red arrow (on screen) pointing to the destination. The arrow changes direction based on where I'm facing, and the coordinates and the distance changes as I approach the node. There is also a dot on the minimap. Is this something we might see in TomTom and/or Lightheaded? Again, I've been enjoying your mods since Clique and PerfectRaid. Keep up the good work! |
