TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Re: Can't clear waypoints
/run SLASH_TOMTOM_WAY2 = "/tway" This allows the TomTom slash command to use /tway command, which you can then call. You could also do /run SlashCmd.TOMTOM_WAY("reset Dustwallow Marsh")

Can't clear waypoints
Hi, I got a problem with clearing waypoints (via /noway or /way reset) it just doesn't work. I'm using LightHead along with Cartographer. Clicking the waypoints in lightheaded works, and I can see the waypoints on both worldmap and minimap. But I can't remove the with the above command.
However manually rightclicking on the waypoint and removing it works. But it's a pain removing them all one by one. The messages are get are following: TomTom: Setting a waypoint at 42.00, 13.00 in Dustwallow Marsh. (ok, the waypoint is visible and everything works fine, I can see the arrow pointing and etc.) /noway - Waypoints: Waypoints cleared. (It clears the arrow pointing, but I can still see the waypoints on the minimap and worldmap, it didn't clear them.) /way clear all - Waypoints: No matching note in zone: Dustwallow Marsh (and they still remain on the minimap and worldmap) Both addons are marvelous btw. great job. |

the slash commands
Very noobish question here but its really bugging me, the /commands how do you type them in.
Most other mods would be something like eg: /tomtom mapcoord hide but it dos'nt do anything when i type this in for tomtom, i realy want to hide the map coords but other than that, this is an excellent mod. PS: Ive tried everything i can think of /tomtom - mapcoord - hide and all sorts of variations but cant get it, really sorry for the simple nature of this problem and thank you in advance for your help. |

Thank you for the quick response, that works, what confused me was in the description of the addon it said
- way <zone> <x> <y> [desc] - Adds a new waypoint at x,y in the given zone, with optional note desc. so I figured you had to use the surrounding marks. Thank you, these addons have been a huge help, and now that i can add my own waypoints it'll just be that much better.

/way nagrand 50 50 Some note That adds a note in nagrand, at coord 50,50 with note "Some note". You can leave out the zone name, or the note, and you can use 50, 50 style or 50.00, 50.00 style coordinates.

I just downloaded this addon, along with lighthead, yesterday and they're both working almost perfectly, the only problem I have is that I can't add a waypoint manually.
I've tried /way nagrand <xx> <yy> [desc] /way nagrand <xx[.xx]> <yy[.yy]> <desc> /way <nagrand> <xx> <yy> [desc] /way <nagrand> <xx,yy> desc /way[<nagrand>] [xx] [yy] [<desc>] and every other possible combination of <> [] and those things I could think of, but every time it says the zone is not recognized, I even opened the /way zonelist and triple checked my spelling. Its only a minor issue, but it'd be really nice if I could add waypoints manually.

AlphaMap support?
Anyone else using this with AlphaMap? The waypoints show in the regular map and in the mini-map, but not in AlphaMap.
Great add-ons, btw. This and Lightheaded work great together. Thanks, Sychian |

TomTom
I really love this addon, it is great when you are questing. It could be really great if it was possible to add a note when making waypoints on the map. And like others said the idea with arrow is really great. It could also be great if it was written under the arrow how long it is to arrival time. but it is for shure the best addon ever. And as a last thing when will the next version come out ?

Hey, great job with TomTom and Lightheaded! But I'm having some difficulties with using TomTom.
I am unable to click on the links in Lightheaded(does not give me any waypoints). Am I supposed to type /way <x> <y> for them? I believe Lightheaded says the links are clickable. Please help, thanks! |
