TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

After doing a quest in Nagrand I clicked the turn-in NPC coordinate and got the arrow+map dot. I killed a few mobs on the way and when I shadow-stepped and cheap shotted a mob, I got an error in Tomtom (using r128). I have the Coordinate block and Map coordinates turned off.
Code:
[2008/04/06 06:09:53-258-x2]: TomTom-128\TomTom_CrazyArrow.lua:55: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'r2' (a nil value) TomTom-128\TomTom_CrazyArrow.lua:184: in function <Interface\AddOns\TomTom\TomTom_CrazyArrow.lua:126> ---

Has the quest id been fixed? It's tricky to know what dots for what quest by the quest id number.

Hi
Sorry for any confusion about my "wording". No offence was meant
Perhaps I should have said "... is now hidden...", rather than "...is hiding..." ? I didn't think anyone would understand discussions of 'local' as opposed to 'global'... and its more complicated than that anyway. However, ofc I could be wrong So I will send you a gmail Clad The tattle-tails can stop putting a bad spin on it now with their "suspicions"

I'll update to the new version and see if I can get similar errors after wrong input again. |

TomTom and AlphaMap
Hi Clad, I just went to AlphaMap and found this "updated support for TomTom Sadly, TomTom has changed and is hiding much of its information, so I can no longer reliably include distance information in the Tooltip; Neither, can I reliably make the Right click menu available from TomTom dots."
Is there any chance the two of you can talk as I love and use heavily both mods? Thanks!! |

Also, you need to clarify what errors you are getting, just telling me about them sadly isn't sufficient. If you can provide reproducable steps that is usedful as well.

I got errors with TomTom after trying to enter a coordinate /way 64,95 which is what I was used too (I of course checked and started to use the syntax with a space instead). After that it started to behave strange and I got a dot on the minimap, which didn't go away after reaching target and also created errors when hoovering on it.
But after restart it works well when using either Lightheaded to click a location or the correct syntax with /way. |

/way Azuremyst XX YY If you want to supply more precise coordinates, use a decimal point: /way Azuremyst 14.23 90.45 That will set a waypoint in that zone, at x coordinate 14.23 and y coordinate 90.45. That being said, there is a bug currently where names with space in them don't work properly. I will be fixing that.

Im also getting screwy perfomance while using with Cartographer (and yes I made sure I am using the newest version of both.) Waypoints werent showing up on the map, so I fiddled with cartographer's settings and they show up now, but I cant mouse over them for info. If I disable cartographer in the Look 'n Feel section (of Cart) then mouse over does work for the waypoints. Am I doing something wrong here?
Edit: OK I got it working somehow, the Cart overlay still goes over the waypoints... so I have to make the Cartographer overlay more transparent to see the waypoints. Is there a way to put the waypoints on top of the overlay? Edit of the edit: I just found that doing /way zone # # puts the waypoints on top of the overlay... but the ones I insert by clicking them in Lightheaded do not go on top. Sigh I just keep finding different things out. Ok using /way is the same as placing them by clicking, it apparently just depends on the location of the waypoint... the ones by the coast in tanaris are on top of the Cart overlay but all of the others in tanaris are under it...

Can't get this to work the way I want it, I want to do /way Azuremyst Isle YY,XX to set up a path for one of those masks, but it keeps saying it isn't the right way, trying everything from no , to . to a space, nothing works, I don't recommend this unless someone can tell me how to make it do what I want.
