TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

tourguide
i'm also now experiencing problems (seen a few others were too) with tourguide after updating tomtom today. the waypoints that tourguide creates will either not persist upon reloading the ui, or they disappear when opening the world map.

r164 appears to have fixed all the behavior that I reported. "Disable waypoints in another zone" would be cool, but it's not terribly important as long as "Clear waypoint from crazy arrow" works. Thanks and you rock as always.

I just uploaded a beta version that should fix the flickering and other weird behavior that r163 introduced. The only thing I KNOW it breaks is the option to "Disable waypoints in other zones". It will take me a bit of time to get that fixed and fully operational again. Will you guys PLEASE download the beta version and test it out for me, and let me know if you can break it?

Been using this for a long time, prefer it over other waypoint mods. One of the reasons I like it more is that the arrow looked better, but I see you fixed it in the latest version. So option to change the "bugged" version on would be nice too
Anyway, I noticed that the arrow gets broken with Mappy. Also, with mappy you can't click on waypoints in minimap. This is how the arrow looks: |

Just downloaded the new version yesterday and started having an issue...well 2 actually.
1. The Way point arrow will "flicker". Very annoying. It flashes on/off very rapidly to the point that I cannot see what it says. 2. I cannot move it. It is stuck in the center of the screen. I used to be able to just click/drag it where I needed it. Now it is right on my character and I have to disable it to be able to see where I am going. |

error today
This happened after my waypoint arrow disappeared when transitioning to a different part of the zone, I right clicked got the arrow back, moved and transitioned again, lost arrow, right clicked to reset arrow and got this error. With 5 total waypoints set around that zone.
Also noticed the arrow drops when you come into combat. I didnt see it as a settings that could be changed. With this latest version of TomTom the crazy arrow keeps disappearing. I use TourGuide and it automatically sets the crazy arrow for me and it always worked great before, now the arrow stays around for a minute or so then disappears..and I haven't updated TourGuide so I'm guessing its TomTom.
I also use nQuestLog, but I doubt that has anything to do with it since it is just a quest minion that improves on Blizzards default Quest Tracker. |

I'm also seeing issues with r163. Doubtful it's an add-on conflict as TomTom worked perfectly until this update and I didn't see anything else update. Symptoms for me:
- Right click a node and select "Set as waypoint arrow", and TomTom now ignores me completely and leaves whatever it had selected as the arrow - Right click the crazy arrow and select "Clear waypoint from crazy arrow", and within a second or two the arrow pops back up with that same waypoint - So at this point, TomTom is stuck showing me a crazy arrow for a waypoint that I don't want to go to yet, and I can't change it or clear it. So tonight I was back to opening the world map to see where the waypoints are, and manually heading in that direction. FYI, I was in Zangarmarsh all night, if that makes any difference. I didn't see the behavior change when moving between zones/subzones. BTW: I don't use Cartographer or Tour Guide -- just LightHeaded/TomTom and no other map mods other than Gatherer, which is disabled at present anyway. I did try clearing all waypoints and adding them back in, which didn't help. I'll try downgrading to r162 to see if that solves the problems. Edit: Going back to r162 solved the problems I was seeing. Behavior seems normal with that build. Edit2: I don't see the issue everyone else is reporting, where waypoints actually disappear. They are staying for me just fine. It's just the crazy arrow that refuses to behave.

I'm experiencing the same issue with r163. Waypoints disppear on zone/subzone transitions, as well as when opening/closing the world map. I've been able to reproduce the problem consistently using the following steps:
1. Disable all addons other than TomTom. 2. Delete TomTom saved variables. 3. Log in. 4. Create a waypoint. Open the world map or move to another zone or subzone. The waypoint correctly persists. 5. Open the options panel and disable the "Save new waypoints until I remove them" setting. 6. Create a waypoint. 7. Open the world map. The waypoint disappears. 8. Create a waypoint. 9. Move to another subzone. The waypoint disappears. The problem is definitely caused by disabling the "Save" option. |
