TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Re: Re: Crazy Taxi Arrow won't go away
As an alternative, perhaps the "current crazy arrow" could be expanded to just be "current destination", and in addition to the optional crazy arrow, that waypoint would get a different color arrow on the minimap, a different color dot on the minimap & world map, and layering priority on the minimap. |

Re: Crazy Taxi Arrow won't go away
I am not sure I consider this a generally useful change, but will consider it. I tend to be very cautious when adding new features or options to my addons because not exercising restraint ends up leading very quickly to bloat and confusing addons something I have no interest in being associated with. Thanks for the request.

Crazy Taxi Arrow won't go away
On my system, my crazy taxi arrow is gone because I disabled it in the options. However, on my wife's system, the crazy taxi arrow always shows up, even though it's been disabled in the options. Is there any way to get rid of the thing post 3.0?

Cladhaire I use a very minimal UI setup, it's RothUI with DoubleWide and Mapster...but to quest I need to use Lightheaded and TomTom.
I discussed this in IRC and many people expressed interest in such a feature, but I disabled the magic arrow, and instead use the minimap arrows to navigate to waypoints. Because of this I can't tell where anything is with more than one waypoint active, and that's my request...to have TomTom delete all existing waypoints every time a new one is made, either manually on the map or from clicking a link in Lightheaded. I checked out your Lua file, and I believe I found the function that deletes all waypoints...the one that's linked to the dialog that pops up warning you that you are deleting all your waypoints. However I can't find where in which file the code is that you're using to add waypoints (manually or from a link). I don't know a thing about Lua, but with atleast the names of the functions I'm looking for I could figure out how to jury rig it into a working state. I'm not necessarily requesting a feature, just some guidance on how to set up this behavior within TomTom. Thanks.

Re: Re: Arrow takes you to wrong place, intermittently
Also, a random related comment, it seems like when the arrow is "off" it's off by 90 or 180 degrees. Meaning, it will send me in exactly the opposite direction, or off at an angle that is 90 degrees from the correct area. I have no idea if that's helpful or not, and it may only be a coincidence. I've gotten in a habit of immediately opening the map as soon as I click a waypoint in Lightheaded so as not to head off in the wrong direction, but I'll try and pay more attention to where the arrow was originally vs where it is after I open the map. |

how would you alias "/way reset all" to something more handy like the /noway command in carto?

i get waypoint errors with both TomTom and Cartographer (square white pixels with Cart). Is it possible this is a server side issue? seems like one other use had an issue with one character, but not the other
edit: working with TomTom now, i guess carto is the culprit
