TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

2.) Sounds like a conflict with another mod, or perhaps something to do with the DK starting zone (or battlegrounds) On a lighter note, you should not need a guide of any manner to make it through the three levels in the Dk starting area. Lay back and enjoy the storyline.. it's easy.

This seems odd...
I have a Tom Tom issue I've not been able to resolve. I LOVE the addon--and for the most part it works perfectly on all my characters. However, I am having a problem with a Death Knight. Now, please know that I have laboriously checked and duplicated the addon profile from a character where tom tom works seamlessly in conjunction with Zygor Guides; i.e. I can click on a coordinate in Zygor, and it will automatically adjust the Tom Tom arrow to point to that coordinate. However, on my Death Knight, inspite of the exact same addon profile being used; two different things happen. 1) clicking on a Zygor Coordinate does not result in any change in the Tom Tom arrow and 2) I have an additional "non functioning" arrow that sometimes shows as a pixelated box, sometimes as a capture of different arrow parts, and sometimes disappears at the bottom of my screen. Most vexing! Im not sure why this would happen on a single character, or at this point, how to resolve the problem with out de-installing Tom Tom...and I hate to risk it "breaking" for my other characters. any suggestions ??

Re: tomtom and tourguide compatibility
Sounds like you need to turn off "Show next closest waypoint on Crazy Arrow" (probably not the exact name of the option) in TomTom's options menu. No coding required. |

tomtom and tourguide compatibility
I was wondering how hard it would be to make tomtom compatible with tourguide. I use Jame's Alliance Leveling guide and he uses tourguide as his in-game Leveling guide(this is free so you can download it for testing purposes).
Whenever im questing I find that tomtom tells me to go to a place when tourguide tells me to go elsewhere is there a way you can link tomtom to tourguide so tomtom will tell me where the next questing location is for the leveling guide? I would think you could turn off/on the "tourguide mode" in the options menu. I would do it myself but i dont have enough experience in lua programming and it would be nice if everyone else could have this compatibility as well. thanks great mod btw If it is compatible already could someone explain to me how to use it?

There also seems to be an issue when both the "automatically set waypoint arrow" and "automatically set to next closest waypoint" options are enabled that causes the arrow to be set to a random faraway waypoint on login. Not really problematic -- hey, it's nice to know Elder Mistwalker is 24000ish yards away from Dalaran, I guess -- but weird.

I did a grep on my addons to see which were registering for the event. I plan to start by disabling each of those individually and reloadUI'ing while leaving TomTom running to see if that makes the problem go away: cargExplorer FlightHUD GatherMate HandyNotes Mapster QuestGuru Routes TomTom WIM Edit: Well what do you know, disabling cargExplorer made it go away. Also running with all of those disabled except for cargExplorer and TomTom resulted in stuttering. Edit 2: Posted a comment on the cargExplorer page, but it looks like the author hasn't been around in a few months.

In the latest version, when I click the clear waypoint from crazy arrow button, nothing happens, the arrow just stays there. I for some reason can't have any waypoints on my map without having a crazy arrow up also.

Thanks, I'll investigate when I can.
Any idea why it happens in Culling of Stratholme every time I'm there, but only in there? Also, any idea why it seems to happen twice a second like clockwork? Edit: Tried your commands, got 2 of those events every time it stuttered.

/run myTestFrame = CreateFrame("Frame"); myTestFrame:RegisterEvent("WORLD_MAP_UPDATE"); myTestFrame:SetScript("OnEvent", print) You will likely see a ton of chat lines being printed. That is the source of the problem even if you are considering TomTom to be "the" problem. You can turn off the messages by typing: /run myTestFrame:SetScript("OnEvent", nil)

Haven't figured out why yet, but I've finally determined that it's TomTom that is causing my game to stutter twice a second in Culling of Stratholme (both regular and heroic, on both my Hunter and Paladin, with no waypoints set). Doesn't happen anywhere else in the game.
