TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Clad I'm positive this was answered in a reply of yours to someone else a while back but can't find it in any of the comments.
Does TomTom support square minimaps fully? (edge placement, etc.) |

Ok.
Just wondering though - what's the worst that could potentially happen you think? I tried this out briefly last night (simpleMiniMap + TomTom + LightHeaded) and changed the "skin" on simpleMiniMap to "Square". IT simply changes the minimap to a square and removes the default Blizzard art around it. Most of the minimap butons that would appear appear normally - just bordering the actual edges of the square itself. Pretty slick. All I noticed out of TomTom's minimap waypoint placement was that the waypoints still seemed to be honoring a radial layout (as if the minimap were still a circle). As far as I can tell, the waypoints still appeared within the border of the minimap. Could there be a situation where they wouldn't? Any potential "I couldn't get a waypoint to appear" for some reason? Doesn't seem like it but perhaps you're more aware of what the risks might be. Thanks |

No, they will just appear, the arrows will be inside your minimap. You wouldn't ever find missing waypoints.

simpleMiniMap may be able to change skins and shape, but it can't change the "Circle".
Addon minimap buttons will go along with the "circle" still aswell. It's unchangeable I believe. On a side note: I will be trying this out with LightHeaded right now. To Cladhaire: I love all your addons. They aren't ones that have a minimalistic purpose. They are always a must-have and I enjoy the work you have done. Keep it up!

How do you activate the WayPoint system to set a WayPoint I tried using /way <X> <Y> [desc] and it didn't work it just kept showing the WayPoint options.

less detail
Hi, nice add-on.
But personally I would like less detail on the coordinates. Would it be possible to add a slash command to toggle the coordinate resolution on an off. I just find it easier to read without the decimal place. |

Any chance of adding a 'nearest waypoint' option?
I would love to go into Lightheaded and click on all of the coordinates for a bunch of quests I have in a zone, then have TomTom direct me to the nearest one, then the next nearest to that, then the next nearest to that. It would make questing a lot more efficient than trying to figure out what order to do quests in manually. |
