LightHeaded  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v100002-1.0.0-2022-12-15
by: Cladhaire [More]

Classic not updated at the moment, only retail.

LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

The following slash commands are valid:
  • /lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
  • /lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
  • /lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
  • /lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
  • /lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
  • /lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
  • /lh config - Opens the LightHeaded configuration window
  • /lh autodetails - Toggle automatic opening of the Lightheaded window when clicking a quest in the objective tracker

LightHeaded now includes the English descriptions and introductory text for most of the quests in the game. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled for those players that are not playing in their native locale.

LightHeaded supports sending coordinates to TomTom, MapNotes, Cartographer2 and Cartographer3.

IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.

Thanks for using my addons!

Updated 2022-12-15 for retail.

Well, then EQL doesn't use the default quest log, which isn't something I can help. BEQL from what I understand seems to work just fine with LH. I don't "make" LH work with other addons, I expect them to work in a way that LH works properly with them. Otherwise I'd never get to do anythign new with the addon =(

I also have a few tweaks that will make the data a bit more consistent and accurate. I'll see about taking care of this within the next few days.
Well sounds good! Thanks

"Usage: ItemRefTooltip:SetHyperlink(link):" Error

I get the following error whenever I click on an item that's not yet in system cache while viewing quest data in Lightheaded:

[2008/01/24 17:39:36-158-x3]: Usage: ItemRefTooltip:SetHyperlink(link):

It seems to work ok so low priority for sure... just a nuisance. Thanks!

Fair enough, thanks anyway!

I would just make sure you're downloading from the big download buton. The file is a rather large zip file, but it works just fine =(.

Okay so i cleaned out my wtf folder, and addons folder. I reloaded Cosmos_Complete, LightHeaded-r177, QuestHelper, and TitanPanel.

This cause the same problem, so I started fresh one by one, Lightheaded first, tested it worked, then Quest Helper, still worked, TitanPanel, still worked, THEN Cosmos_Complete, it worked once then I pressed "L" a few times then it reverted to the standard quest log view.

So the conflict was with Cosmos_Complete, dug deeper and saw that Cosmos_Complete had a mod for quest and party quest disabled that and everything is working fine...now i just need to find my other mods lol

Thanks again Great mod!

come to think of it...it might be a addon conflicting...is there a way or a site where i can see a list of all the default addons that come with wow?

The quest details shows up under the quest log rather than to the right like in your screen shots, think that was a mod I previously installed but I know I disabled it.

I will try thoughts commands though
The only addons that come with wow begin with Blizzard_. Everything else is something you've downloaded. You'll need to do some troubleshooting on your end of things, cause I can't help without knowing anything more.
