LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

The following slash commands are valid:

/lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
/lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
/lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
/lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
/lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
/lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
/lh config - Opens the LightHeaded configuration window
/lh autodetails - Toggle automatic opening of the Lightheaded window when clicking a quest in the objective tracker

LightHeaded now includes the English descriptions and introductory text for most of the quests in the game. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled for those players that are not playing in their native locale.

LightHeaded supports sending coordinates to TomTom, MapNotes, Cartographer2 and Cartographer3.

IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.

There was never a "description of the quest" but there was a title that should tell you what zone, coordinate, and the title of the waypoint in question (i.e. which quest). There are options to enable/disable these tooltips in TomTom. As always, please ensure that this isn't a conflict with another addon by testing without Cartographer first.

Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with LightHeaded. If you want to improve the quality of the comments, you should go to wowhead.com and rate the good comments up, and rate the useless comments down. I just display the comments from wowhead.com, sorted by rating.

yup I understand, but by reading your code to see how you are retrieving the id I have got an idea to code a useful macro so I can do it temporaly manualy. If any non english user want a small tip add this macro:

just replace "Merah" to your character name and then anytime you will select a quest in your quest log, hit the macro, and you will receive wowhead link to the defautl English quest with nice infos. Easy questing hehe =)

As I've already stated, I can't really do this right now. There is a pretty game-stopping bug (it crashes WoW) that Blizzard introduced with a change to their widget system that I have to reoslve first.

Else I have got an update idea for it, I'm french using a wotlk French client and notice the french db at wowhead is not really active and is almost empty no comments, making a function that could retrieve the quest id from my french quests and to allow displaying English comments associated to the English quest on wotlk will display English comment on my French ingame quest to have the mosts active comments in English rather than trying to find French comments that are not insteresting, Judgehype is much active for french community.

Uhh, this is exactly how LightHeaded works, does it not? It uses the quest ids exclusively and should always display English comments regardless of what client you are using. Its been that way since the quest link API was introduced.
