Nameplates Modifier  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: r20091227
by: Shadowed [More]

Nameplates Modifier is meant to be a simple, well nameplate modifier. This lets you do basic things, such as hiding the cast and health borders and the elite indicators, as well as changing the status bar texture, text settings of level/names/cast bars can be changed including font, font size, font outline, shadow and all that fun stuff. Includes text inside the health and cast bars, that lets you see things such as, time left, current health, etc etc etc.

This is not going to let you change every single nameplate option.

Slash commands: /nameplates (/np shorthand)

Pretty much I just grabbed every texture from Surfaces as of 3-4 days ago, so if a new one was added it wouldn't be there.

Casting bar border should already be hidden if the option is on to hide borders, or do you want a seperate one to choose between casting bar and name plates? Also what do you mean by second decimal, it should be rounded to the first one so 1.5.
Strange, I've used glaze for quite a while, so it isn't a new texture. *shrugs* oh well.

With regards to the borders: Currently I have borders disabled. I see no borders on the hp bars, but I do on cast bars. However my copy of nameplates has been through some revisions, so I prolly just need enable and disable the borders to get it to stick (or delete my savedvars).
I don't need seperate options for casting bar/name plate borders prolly just a bug on my end.

With regards to the second decimal: If it sticks around after I delete my savedvars, I'll just live with it, it's not a huge issue. ^^

I'll look into it, but you're probably out of luck as I can't really do anything about it as far as I can think.

A few things I noticed:

Is the 'glaze' bar missing from the surfaces library? My other mods use it, but it doesn't seem to be on the texture list (gloss is though, which is similar). Thanks for adding surfaces btw

The current version prints debug messges occaisionally. Something like [snake][health] or [fen strider][castbar].

Can the border from the castbar be removed? Also I don't think there's a need for the second decimal on the cast time (IMHO).

Finally I noticed something I can't really reproduce. But if I charge to a mob (as a warrior)with nameplates on sometimes the bar texture will change to something else, then update to the correct bartexture after a second. Very odd. Happens rarely though.

Scaling is possible, but changing the scale messes up positioning to the point it's useless, changing the alpha of the name plates is not possible, changing the alpha of the health bar is.

Fixed enemy health not updating.

There is no way to do a range indicator really, i'm guessing you want something that at 100% health it's mostly transparent, at 5% it's completely visible?

Some type of range indicator would be great. Also would it be possible to change the actual frame to something like an arrow that can fade with health.

Small change to 1.0.3 (it's now 1.0.03 so it let me upload it), made it so it plays nicely with any other addon that hooks OnValueChanged.

It's not such a simple thing to fix, it may look different when you see it in-game, but code wise it's hard to identify the casting bar vs the health bar.

Love this mod, makes the bars look much much better. However I noticed that removing the border doesn't apply to the nameplate casting bar. Is it possible to make it remove the border (but keeping the casting bar icon).

Also can you use the surfaces library to add a collection of textures for it? Would love to see more variety.
