tekKompare is my own personal replacement for EquipCompare and similar addons. It's super-small, designed to do two things:

Give you always-on compare tooltips
Show tooltips for links in chat when hovering over them

If you want to disable the hovertips, just delete the HoverTips.lua file.

This zip file seems to be corrupted. I cannot open it with either WinZip or unzip on OSX.

Really it wouldn't be that hard for CV to override the methods that I use to show it's own compare tips when it's got an alt's data up. To me that's a much cleaner solution than to rely on a second addon to do it.

I was merely curious to find out if your version worked that way.

Frankly I feel that the feature you're asking for should be built into CharactersViewer, it seems the more logical place to me.

Does this work with CharactersViewer? http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ersViewer.html For instance, when you switch CharactersViewer to look at an alt, then you cursor over an item, does it show the compare from the alt, like EquipCompare does?
