[Latest news: I will start posting the beta version here since they are mostly working now :-)]
ArmorCraft is a WoW add-on for scanning an armor crafting window and displaying the best armor or weapon that can be crafted for a given level. This makes it much easier to see if you can craft a better piece of armor for yourself or another player. You can also compare a specific armor or weapon with the one in use by a target player and your alternates. Blacksmiths and Engineers will also show the best melee weapon or gun that can be crafted.
This is an update of Vincent of Blackhand's ArmorCraft. Vincent has stopped playing WoW so I decided to try to do something about making ArmorCraft usable with WoW 2.0.1 and up.
ArmorCraft checks the class and level of the targeted player (defaults to the current player) and then finds the highest usable armor that can be crafted from the currently open trade skill window (Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Engineering or Jewelcrafing). The armor class and level can be changed to select for players that aren't present.
There are formulas assigned to each class based on the values extracted buy the ItemBonus-2.0 library. There formulas are used to evaluate each item that you pickup or that you can make and compere them with what what you, a party member or an alt is wearing. I tried to come up with good default formulas for leveling but your contribution is welcome.
Shift-LeftClick an armor or weapon in your inventory, bank, loot window or chat window link to open a window to check its usefulness compared to the corresponding equipped item for yourself and a player target. This makes evaluating loot quick and easy. You can also check a selected item in your craft window.
If ArmorCraftCache (included in the distribution) or CharacterProfiler is installed, you can select a alt target and all alts characters will be displayed in the item comparison window. When you are in a party, the party members will be listed in the item comparison window.
See the README file for complete details.
To Do
- Configuration Dialog (first version included in Beta r64, it needs improvement)
- Find good formulas for all the classes (suggestions are welcome)
- A more large UI with dynamics number of rows that can go above ten
- Maybe a way to change formulas on the spot
- Localization
Known Issues- Localization is no longer supported.
